Al-'Isrā The Night Journey
﷽
سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي أَسْرَىٰ بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلًا مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الْأَقْصَى الَّذِي بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ آيَاتِنَا ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ 1
Translation
Exalted (is) the One Who took His servant (by) night from Al-Masjid Al-Haraam Al-Masjid Al-Haraam to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa which We blessed its surroundings that We may show him of Our Signs Indeed He He (is) the All-Hearer the All-Seer
Transliteration
Subĥāna Al-Ladhī 'Asrá Bi`abdihi Laylāan Mina Al-Masjidi Al-Ĥarāmi 'Ilá Al-Masjidi Al-'Aqşá Al-Ladhī Bāraknā Ĥawlahu Linuriyahu Min 'Āyātinā 'Innahu Huwa As-Samī`u Al-Başīru
وَآتَيْنَا مُوسَى الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلْنَاهُ هُدًى لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ أَلَّا تَتَّخِذُوا مِنْ دُونِي وَكِيلًا 2
Translation
And We gave Musa the Book and made it a guidance for the Children (of) Israel That not you take other than Me other than Me (as) a Disposer of affairs
Transliteration
Wa 'Ātaynā Mūsá Al-Kitāba Wa Ja`alnāhu Hudáan Libanī 'Isrā'īla 'Allā Tattakhidhū Min Dūnī Wa Kīlāan
ذُرِّيَّةَ مَنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَبْدًا شَكُورًا 3
Translation
Offsprings (of one) who We carried with Nuh Indeed he was a servant grateful
Transliteration
DDhurrīyata Man Ĥamalnā Ma`a Nūĥin 'Innahu Kāna `Abdāan Shakūrāan
وَقَضَيْنَا إِلَىٰ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي الْكِتَابِ لَتُفْسِدُنَّ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَلَتَعْلُنَّ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا 4
Translation
And We decreed for (the) Children (of) Israel in the Book Surely you will cause corruption in the earth twice and surely you will reach haughtiness great
Transliteration
Wa Qađaynā 'Ilá Banī 'Isrā'īla Fī Al-Kitābi Latufsidunna Fī Al-'Arđi Marratayni Wa Lata`lunna `Ulūwāan Kabīrāan
فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ أُولَاهُمَا بَعَثْنَا عَلَيْكُمْ عِبَادًا لَنَا أُولِي بَأْسٍ شَدِيدٍ فَجَاسُوا خِلَالَ الدِّيَارِ ۚ وَكَانَ وَعْدًا مَفْعُولًا 5
Translation
So when came (the) promise (for) the first of the two We raised against you servants of Ours those of great military might those of great military might those of great military might and they entered the inner most part (of) the homes and (it) was a promise fulfilled
Transliteration
Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du 'Ūlāhumā Ba`athnā `Alaykum `Ibādāan Lanā 'Ūlī Ba'sin Shadīdin Fajāsū Khilāla Ad-Diyāri Wa Kāna Wa`dāan Maf`ūlāan
ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَا لَكُمُ الْكَرَّةَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَمْدَدْنَاكُمْ بِأَمْوَالٍ وَبَنِينَ وَجَعَلْنَاكُمْ أَكْثَرَ نَفِيرًا 6
Translation
Then We gave back to you the return victory over them And We reinforced you with the wealth and sons and made you more numerous
Transliteration
TThumma Radadnā Lakumu Al-Karrata `Alayhim Wa 'Amdadnākum Bi'amwālin Wa Banīna Wa Ja`alnākum 'Akthara Nafīrāan
إِنْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ أَحْسَنْتُمْ لِأَنْفُسِكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَسَأْتُمْ فَلَهَا ۚ فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الْآخِرَةِ لِيَسُوءُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَلِيَدْخُلُوا الْمَسْجِدَ كَمَا دَخَلُوهُ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ وَلِيُتَبِّرُوا مَا عَلَوْا تَتْبِيرًا 7
Translation
If you do good you do good for yourselves; and if you do evil then it is for it So when came promise the last to sadden your faces and to enter the Masjid just as they (had) entered it first time and to destroy what they had conquered (with) destruction
Transliteration
'In 'Aĥsantum 'Aĥsantum Li'nfusikum Wa 'In 'Asa'tum Falahā Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du Al-'Ākhirati Liyasū'ū Wujūhakum Wa Liyadkhulū Al-Masjida Kamā Dakhalūhu 'Awwala Marratin Wa Liyutabbirū Mā `Alaw Tatbīrāan
عَسَىٰ رَبُّكُمْ أَنْ يَرْحَمَكُمْ ۚ وَإِنْ عُدْتُمْ عُدْنَا ۘ وَجَعَلْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَافِرِينَ حَصِيرًا 8
Translation
(It) may be that your Lord that your Lord (may) have mercy upon you But if you return We will return And We have made Hell for the disbelievers a prison-bed
Transliteration
`Asá Rabbukum 'An Yarĥamakum Wa 'In `Udtum `Udnā Wa Ja`alnā Jahannama Lilkāfirīna Ĥaşīrāan
إِنَّ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنَ يَهْدِي لِلَّتِي هِيَ أَقْوَمُ وَيُبَشِّرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ يَعْمَلُونَ الصَّالِحَاتِ أَنَّ لَهُمْ أَجْرًا كَبِيرًا 9
Translation
Indeed this the Quran guides to that which (is) most straight and gives glad tidings to the believers - those who do the righteous deeds that for them (is) a reward great
Transliteration
'Inna Hādhā Al-Qur'āna Yahdī Lillatī Hiya 'Aqwamu Wa Yubashshiru Al-Mu'uminīna Al-Ladhīna Ya`malūna Aş-Şāliĥāti 'Anna Lahum 'Ajrāan Kabīrāan
وَأَنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ أَعْتَدْنَا لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا 10
Translation
And that those who (do) not believe in the Hereafter We have prepared for them a punishment painful
Transliteration
Wa 'Anna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati 'A`tadnā Lahum `Adhābāan 'Alīmāan
وَيَدْعُ الْإِنْسَانُ بِالشَّرِّ دُعَاءَهُ بِالْخَيْرِ ۖ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ عَجُولًا 11
Translation
And prays the man for evil (as) he prays for the good And is the man ever hasty
Transliteration
Wa Yad`u Al-'Insānu Bish-Sharri Du`ā'ahu Bil-Khayri Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu `Ajūlāan
وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ آيَتَيْنِ ۖ فَمَحَوْنَا آيَةَ اللَّيْلِ وَجَعَلْنَا آيَةَ النَّهَارِ مُبْصِرَةً لِتَبْتَغُوا فَضْلًا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَلِتَعْلَمُوا عَدَدَ السِّنِينَ وَالْحِسَابَ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ فَصَّلْنَاهُ تَفْصِيلًا 12
Translation
And We have made the night and the day (as) two signs Then We erased (the) sign (of) the night and We made (the) sign (of) the day visible that you may seek bounty from your Lord and that you may know (the) number (of) the years and the account And every thing - We have explained it (in) detail
Transliteration
Wa Ja`alnā Al-Layla Wa An-Nahāra 'Āyatayni Famaĥawnā 'Āyata Al-Layli Wa Ja`alnā 'Āyata An-Nahāri Mubşiratan Litabtaghū Fađlāan Min Rabbikum Wa Lita`lamū `Adada As-Sinīna Wa Al-Ĥisāba Wa Kulla Shay'in Faşşalnāhu Tafşīlāan
وَكُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ أَلْزَمْنَاهُ طَائِرَهُ فِي عُنُقِهِ ۖ وَنُخْرِجُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ كِتَابًا يَلْقَاهُ مَنْشُورًا 13
Translation
And (for) every man We have fastened to him his fate in his neck and We will bring forth for him (on the) Day (of) the Resurrection a record which he will find wide open
Transliteration
Wa Kulla 'Insānin 'Alzamnāhu Ţā'irahu Fī `Unuqihi Wa Nukhriju Lahu Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Kitābāan Yalqāhu Manshūrāan
اقْرَأْ كِتَابَكَ كَفَىٰ بِنَفْسِكَ الْيَوْمَ عَلَيْكَ حَسِيبًا 14
Translation
Read your record Sufficient (is) yourself today against you (as) accountant
Transliteration
Aqra' Kitābaka Kafá Binafsika Al-Yawma `Alayka Ĥasībāan
مَنِ اهْتَدَىٰ فَإِنَّمَا يَهْتَدِي لِنَفْسِهِ ۖ وَمَنْ ضَلَّ فَإِنَّمَا يَضِلُّ عَلَيْهَا ۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ۗ وَمَا كُنَّا مُعَذِّبِينَ حَتَّىٰ نَبْعَثَ رَسُولًا 15
Translation
Whoever (is) guided then only he is guided for his soul And whoever goes astray then only he goes astray against it And not will bear one laden with burden burden (of) another And not We are to punish until We have sent a Messenger
Transliteration
Mani Ahtadá Fa'innamā Yahtadī Linafsihi Wa Man Đalla Fa'innamā Yađillu `Alayhā Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra 'Ukhrá Wa Mā Kunnā Mu`adhdhibīna Ĥattá Nab`atha Rasūlāan
وَإِذَا أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نُهْلِكَ قَرْيَةً أَمَرْنَا مُتْرَفِيهَا فَفَسَقُوا فِيهَا فَحَقَّ عَلَيْهَا الْقَوْلُ فَدَمَّرْنَاهَا تَدْمِيرًا 16
Translation
And when We intend that We destroy a town We order its wealthy people but they defiantly disobey therein; so (is) proved true against it the word and We destroy it (with) destruction
Transliteration
Wa 'Idhā 'Aradnā 'An Nuhlika Qaryatan 'Amarnā Mutrafīhā Fafasaqū Fīhā Faĥaqqa `Alayhā Al-Qawlu Fadammarnāhā Tadmīrāan
وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنَ الْقُرُونِ مِنْ بَعْدِ نُوحٍ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ بِذُنُوبِ عِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا 17
Translation
And how many We destroyed from the generations after after Nuh And sufficient (is) your Lord concerning the sins (of) His servants All-Aware All-Seer
Transliteration
Wa Kam 'Ahlaknā Mina Al-Qurūni Min Ba`di Nūĥin Wa Kafá Birabbika Bidhunūbi `Ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan
مَنْ كَانَ يُرِيدُ الْعَاجِلَةَ عَجَّلْنَا لَهُ فِيهَا مَا نَشَاءُ لِمَنْ نُرِيدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا لَهُ جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَاهَا مَذْمُومًا مَدْحُورًا 18
Translation
Whoever should desire the immediate We hasten for him in it what We will to whom We intend Then We have made for him Hell he will burn disgraced rejected
Transliteration
Man Kāna Yurīdu Al-`Ājilata `Ajjalnā Lahu Fīhā Mā Nashā'u Liman Nurīdu Thumma Ja`alnā Lahu Jahannama Yaşlāhā Madhmūmāan Madĥūrāan
وَمَنْ أَرَادَ الْآخِرَةَ وَسَعَىٰ لَهَا سَعْيَهَا وَهُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَأُولَٰئِكَ كَانَ سَعْيُهُمْ مَشْكُورًا 19
Translation
And whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts for it the effort while he (is) a believer then those [are] their effort (is) appreciated
Transliteration
Wa Man 'Arāda Al-'Ākhirata Wa Sa`á Lahā Sa`yahā Wa Huwa Mu'uminun Fa'ūlā'ika Kāna Sa`yuhum Mashkūrāan
كُلًّا نُمِدُّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ وَهَٰؤُلَاءِ مِنْ عَطَاءِ رَبِّكَ ۚ وَمَا كَانَ عَطَاءُ رَبِّكَ مَحْظُورًا 20
Translation
(To) each We extend (to) these and (to) these from (the) gift (of) your Lord And not is (the) gift (of) your Lord restricted
Transliteration
Kullāan Numiddu Hā'uulā' Wa Hā'uulā' Min `Aţā'i Rabbika Wa Mā Kāna `Aţā'u Rabbika Maĥžūrāan
انْظُرْ كَيْفَ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۚ وَلَلْآخِرَةُ أَكْبَرُ دَرَجَاتٍ وَأَكْبَرُ تَفْضِيلًا 21
Translation
See how We preferred some of them over others And surely the Hereafter (is) greater (in) degrees and greater (in) excellence
Transliteration
Anžur Kayfa Fađđalnā Ba`đahum `Alá Ba`đin Wa Lal'ākhiratu 'Akbaru Darajātin Wa 'Akbaru Tafđīlāan
لَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتَقْعُدَ مَذْمُومًا مَخْذُولًا 22
Translation
(Do) not make with Allah god another lest you will sit disgraced forsaken
Transliteration
Lā Taj`al Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fataq`uda Madhmūmāan Makhdhūlāan
۞ وَقَضَىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوا إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ إِحْسَانًا ۚ إِمَّا يَبْلُغَنَّ عِنْدَكَ الْكِبَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا أَوْ كِلَاهُمَا فَلَا تَقُلْ لَهُمَا أُفٍّ وَلَا تَنْهَرْهُمَا وَقُلْ لَهُمَا قَوْلًا كَرِيمًا 23
Translation
And has decreed your Lord that (do) not worship except Him Alone and to the parents (be) good Whether reach with you the old age one of them or both of them then (do) not say to both of them a word of disrespect and (do) not repel them but speak to them a word noble
Transliteration
Wa Qađá Rabbuka 'Allā Ta`budū 'Illā 'Īyāhu Wa Bil-Wālidayni 'Iĥsānāan 'Immā Yablughanna `Indaka Al-Kibara 'Aĥaduhumā 'Aw Kilāhumā Falā Taqul Lahumā 'Uffin Wa Lā Tanharhumā Wa Qul Lahumā Qawlāan Karīmāan
وَاخْفِضْ لَهُمَا جَنَاحَ الذُّلِّ مِنَ الرَّحْمَةِ وَقُلْ رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا 24
Translation
And lower to them (the) wing (of) humility (out) of [the] mercy and say My Lord! Have mercy on both of them as they brought me up (when I was) small
Transliteration
Wa Akhfiđ Lahumā Janāĥa Adh-Dhulli Mina Ar-Raĥmati Wa Qul Rrabbi Arĥamhumā Kamā Rabbayānī Şaghīrāan
رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي نُفُوسِكُمْ ۚ إِنْ تَكُونُوا صَالِحِينَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ لِلْأَوَّابِينَ غَفُورًا 25
Translation
Your Lord (is) most knowing of what (is) in yourselves If you are righteous then indeed He is to those who often turn (to Him) Most Forgiving
Transliteration
Rabbukum 'A`lamu Bimā Fī Nufūsikum 'In Takūnū Şāliĥīna Fa'innahu Kāna Lil'awwābīna Ghafūrāan
وَآتِ ذَا الْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُ وَالْمِسْكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَلَا تُبَذِّرْ تَبْذِيرًا 26
Translation
And give the relatives the relatives his right and the needy and the wayfarer and the wayfarer and (do) not spend wastefully
Transliteration
Wa 'Āti Dhā Al-Qurbá Ĥaqqahu Wa Al-Miskīna Wa Abna As-Sabīli Wa Lā Tubadhdhir Tabdhīrāan
إِنَّ الْمُبَذِّرِينَ كَانُوا إِخْوَانَ الشَّيَاطِينِ ۖ وَكَانَ الشَّيْطَانُ لِرَبِّهِ كَفُورًا 27
Translation
Indeed the spendthrifts are brothers (of) the devils And is the Shaitaan to his Lord ungrateful
Transliteration
'Inna Al-Mubadhdhirīna Kānū 'Ikhwāna Ash-Shayāţīni Wa Kāna Ash-Shayţānu Lirabbihi Kafūrāan
وَإِمَّا تُعْرِضَنَّ عَنْهُمُ ابْتِغَاءَ رَحْمَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكَ تَرْجُوهَا فَقُلْ لَهُمْ قَوْلًا مَيْسُورًا 28
Translation
And if you turn away from them seeking mercy from your Lord which you expect then say to them a word gentle
Transliteration
Wa 'Immā Tu`riđanna `Anhumu Abtighā'a Raĥmatin Min Rabbika Tarjūhā Faqul Lahum Qawlāan Maysūrāan
وَلَا تَجْعَلْ يَدَكَ مَغْلُولَةً إِلَىٰ عُنُقِكَ وَلَا تَبْسُطْهَا كُلَّ الْبَسْطِ فَتَقْعُدَ مَلُومًا مَحْسُورًا 29
Translation
And (do) not make your hand chained to your neck and not extend it (to its) utmost reach so that you sit blameworthy insolvent
Transliteration
Wa Lā Taj`al Yadaka Maghlūlatan 'Ilá `Unuqika Wa Lā Tabsuţhā Kulla Al-Basţi Fataq`uda Malūmāan Maĥsūrāan
إِنَّ رَبَّكَ يَبْسُطُ الرِّزْقَ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا 30
Translation
Indeed your Lord extends the provision for whom He wills and straitens Indeed He is of His slaves All-Aware All-Seer
Transliteration
'Inna Rabbaka Yabsuţu Ar-Rizqa Liman Yashā'u Wa Yaqdiru 'Innahu Kāna Bi`ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan
وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا أَوْلَادَكُمْ خَشْيَةَ إِمْلَاقٍ ۖ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُهُمْ وَإِيَّاكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ كَانَ خِطْئًا كَبِيرًا 31
Translation
And (do) not kill your children (for) fear (of) poverty We (We) provide for them and for you Indeed their killing is a sin great
Transliteration
Wa Lā Taqtulū 'Awlādakum Khashyata 'Imlāqin Naĥnu Narzuquhum Wa 'Īyākum 'Inna Qatlahum Kāna Khiţ'āan Kabīrāan
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الزِّنَا ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ فَاحِشَةً وَسَاءَ سَبِيلًا 32
Translation
And (do) not go near adultery Indeed it is an immorality and (an) evil way
Transliteration
Wa Lā Taqrabū Az-Ziná 'Innahu Kāna Fāĥishatan Wa Sā'a Sabīlāan
وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّتِي حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ إِلَّا بِالْحَقِّ ۗ وَمَنْ قُتِلَ مَظْلُومًا فَقَدْ جَعَلْنَا لِوَلِيِّهِ سُلْطَانًا فَلَا يُسْرِفْ فِي الْقَتْلِ ۖ إِنَّهُ كَانَ مَنْصُورًا 33
Translation
And (do) not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden Allah has forbidden except by right And whoever (is) killed wrongfully verily We have made for his heir an authority but not he should exceed in the killing Indeed, he is helped
Transliteration
Wa Lā Taqtulū An-Nafsa Allatī Ĥarrama Allāhu 'Illā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Man Qutila Mažlūmāan Faqad Ja`alnā Liwalīyihi Sulţānāan Falā Yusrif Fī Al-Qatli 'Innahu Kāna Manşūrāan
وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُ ۚ وَأَوْفُوا بِالْعَهْدِ ۖ إِنَّ الْعَهْدَ كَانَ مَسْئُولًا 34
Translation
And (do) not come near (the) wealth (of) the orphan except with what [it] is best until he reaches his maturity And fulfil the covenant Indeed the covenant will be questioned
Transliteration
Wa Lā Taqrabū Māla Al-Yatīmi 'Illā Bi-Atī Hiya 'Aĥsanu Ĥattá Yablugha 'Ashuddahu Wa 'Awfū Bil-`Ahdi 'Inna Al-`Ahda Kāna Mas'ūlāan
وَأَوْفُوا الْكَيْلَ إِذَا كِلْتُمْ وَزِنُوا بِالْقِسْطَاسِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ وَأَحْسَنُ تَأْوِيلًا 35
Translation
And give full [the] measure when you measure and weigh with the balance the straight That (is) good and best (in) result
Transliteration
Wa 'Awfū Al-Kayla 'Idhā Kiltum Wa Zinū Bil-Qisţāsi Al-Mustaqīmi Dhālika Khayrun Wa 'Aĥsanu Ta'wīlāan
وَلَا تَقْفُ مَا لَيْسَ لَكَ بِهِ عِلْمٌ ۚ إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولَٰئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْئُولًا 36
Translation
And (do) not pursue what not you have of it any knowledge Indeed the hearing and the sight and the heart all those will be [about it] questioned
Transliteration
Wa Lā Taqfu Mā Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun 'Inna As-Sam`a Wa Al-Başara Wa Al-Fu'uāda Kullu 'Ūlā'ika Kāna `Anhu Mas'ūlāan
وَلَا تَمْشِ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَرَحًا ۖ إِنَّكَ لَنْ تَخْرِقَ الْأَرْضَ وَلَنْ تَبْلُغَ الْجِبَالَ طُولًا 37
Translation
And (do) not walk in the earth (with) insolence Indeed you will never tear the earth and will never reach the mountains (in) height
Transliteration
Wa Lā Tamshi Fī Al-'Arđi Maraĥāan 'Innaka Lan Takhriqa Al-'Arđa Wa Lan Tablugha Al-Jibāla Ţūlāan
كُلُّ ذَٰلِكَ كَانَ سَيِّئُهُ عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ مَكْرُوهًا 38
Translation
All that is [its] evil near your Lord hateful
Transliteration
Kullu Dhālika Kāna Sayyi'uhu `Inda Rabbika Makrūhāan
ذَٰلِكَ مِمَّا أَوْحَىٰ إِلَيْكَ رَبُّكَ مِنَ الْحِكْمَةِ ۗ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ فَتُلْقَىٰ فِي جَهَنَّمَ مَلُومًا مَدْحُورًا 39
Translation
That (is) from what (was) revealed to you (from) your Lord of the wisdom And (do) not make with Allah god other lest you should be thrown in Hell blameworthy abandoned
Transliteration
Dhālika Mimmā 'Awĥá 'Ilayka Rabbuka Mina Al-Ĥikmati Wa Lā Taj`al Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara Fatulqá Fī Jahannama Malūmāan Madĥūrāan
أَفَأَصْفَاكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ وَاتَّخَذَ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنَاثًا ۚ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوْلًا عَظِيمًا 40
Translation
Then has your Lord chosen (for) you Then has your Lord chosen (for) you sons and He has taken from the Angels daughters Indeed, you surely say a word grave
Transliteration
''Afa'aşfākum Rabbukum Bil-Banīna Wa Attakhadha Mina Al-Malā'ikati 'Ināthāan 'Innakum Lataqūlūna Qawlāan `Ažīmāan
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ لِيَذَّكَّرُوا وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا 41
Translation
And verily We have explained in this the Quran that they may take heed but not it increases them except (in) aversion
Transliteration
Wa Laqad Şarrafnā Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Liyadhdhakkarū Wa Mā Yazīduhum 'Illā Nufūrāan
قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ مَعَهُ آلِهَةٌ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ إِذًا لَابْتَغَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِي الْعَرْشِ سَبِيلًا 42
Translation
Say If (there) were with Him gods as they say then surely they (would) have sought to (the) Owner (of) the Throne a way
Transliteration
Qul Law Kāna Ma`ahu 'Ālihatun Kamā Yaqūlūna 'Idhāan Lābtaghaw 'Ilá Dhī Al-`Arshi Sabīlāan
سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَىٰ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ عُلُوًّا كَبِيرًا 43
Translation
Glorified is He and Exalted is He above what they say (by) height great
Transliteration
Subĥānahu Wa Ta`ālá `Ammā Yaqūlūna `Ulūwāan Kabīrāan
تُسَبِّحُ لَهُ السَّمَاوَاتُ السَّبْعُ وَالْأَرْضُ وَمَنْ فِيهِنَّ ۚ وَإِنْ مِنْ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا يُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَلَٰكِنْ لَا تَفْقَهُونَ تَسْبِيحَهُمْ ۗ إِنَّهُ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا 44
Translation
Glorify [to] Him the seven heavens the seven heavens and the earth and whatever (is) in them And (there is) not any thing except glorifies His Praise but not you understand their glorification Indeed, He is Ever-Forbearing Oft-Forgiving
Transliteration
TTusabbiĥu Lahu As-Samāwātu As-Sab`u Wa Al-'Arđu Wa Man Fīhinna Wa 'In Min Shay'in 'Illā Yusabbiĥu Biĥamdihi Wa Lakin Lā Tafqahūna Tasbīĥahum 'Innahu Kāna Ĥalīmāan Ghafūrāan
وَإِذَا قَرَأْتَ الْقُرْآنَ جَعَلْنَا بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ حِجَابًا مَسْتُورًا 45
Translation
And when you recite the Quran We place between you and between those who (do) not believe in the Hereafter a barrier hidden
Transliteration
Wa 'Idhā Qara'ta Al-Qur'āna Ja`alnā Baynaka Wa Bayna Al-Ladhīna Lā Yu'uminūna Bil-'Ākhirati Ĥijābāan Mastūrāan
وَجَعَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِمْ أَكِنَّةً أَنْ يَفْقَهُوهُ وَفِي آذَانِهِمْ وَقْرًا ۚ وَإِذَا ذَكَرْتَ رَبَّكَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَحْدَهُ وَلَّوْا عَلَىٰ أَدْبَارِهِمْ نُفُورًا 46
Translation
And We have placed over their hearts coverings lest they understand it and in their ears deafness And when you mention your Lord in the Quran Alone they turn on their backs (in) aversion
Transliteration
Wa Ja`alnā `Alá Qulūbihim 'Akinnatan 'An Yafqahūhu Wa Fī 'Ādhānihim Waqrāan Wa 'Idhā Dhakarta Rabbaka Fī Al-Qur'āni Waĥdahu Wa Llaw `Alá 'Adbārihim Nufūrāan
نَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَسْتَمِعُونَ بِهِ إِذْ يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِذْ هُمْ نَجْوَىٰ إِذْ يَقُولُ الظَّالِمُونَ إِنْ تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَسْحُورًا 47
Translation
We know best [of] what they listen to [it] when they listen to you and when they (are) in private conversation when say the wrongdoers Not you follow but a man bewitched
Transliteration
Naĥnu 'A`lamu Bimā Yastami`ūna Bihi 'Idh Yastami`ūna 'Ilayka Wa 'Idh Hum Najwá 'Idh Yaqūlu Až-Žālimūna 'In Tattabi`ūna 'Illā Rajulāan Masĥūrāan
انْظُرْ كَيْفَ ضَرَبُوا لَكَ الْأَمْثَالَ فَضَلُّوا فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَبِيلًا 48
Translation
See how they put forth for you the examples; but they have gone astray so not they can (find) a way
Transliteration
Anžur Kayfa Đarabū Laka Al-'Amthāla Fađallū Falā Yastaţī`ūna Sabīlāan
وَقَالُوا أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا 49
Translation
And they say Is it when we are bones and crumbled particles will we surely (be) resurrected (as) a creation new
Transliteration
Wa Qālū 'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Wa Rufātāan 'A'innā Lamab`ūthūna Khalqāan Jadīdāan
۞ قُلْ كُونُوا حِجَارَةً أَوْ حَدِيدًا 50
Translation
Say Be stones or iron
Transliteration
Qul Kūnū Ĥijāratan 'Aw Ĥadīdāan
أَوْ خَلْقًا مِمَّا يَكْبُرُ فِي صُدُورِكُمْ ۚ فَسَيَقُولُونَ مَنْ يُعِيدُنَا ۖ قُلِ الَّذِي فَطَرَكُمْ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍ ۚ فَسَيُنْغِضُونَ إِلَيْكَ رُءُوسَهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هُوَ ۖ قُلْ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَرِيبًا 51
Translation
Or a creation of what (is) great in your breasts Then they will say Who will restore us Say He Who created you (the) first time Then they will shake at you their heads and they say When (will) it (be) Say Perhaps that (it) will be soon
Transliteration
'Aw Khalqāan Mimmā Yakburu Fī Şudūrikum Fasayaqūlūna Man Yu`īdunā Quli Al-Ladhī Faţarakum 'Awwala Marratin Fasayunghiđūna 'Ilayka Ru'ūsahum Wa Yaqūlūna Matá Huwa Qul `Asá 'An Yakūna Qarībāan
يَوْمَ يَدْعُوكُمْ فَتَسْتَجِيبُونَ بِحَمْدِهِ وَتَظُنُّونَ إِنْ لَبِثْتُمْ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا 52
Translation
(On) the Day He will call you and you will respond with His Praise and you will think not you had remained except a little (while)
Transliteration
Yawma Yad`ūkum Fatastajībūna Biĥamdihi Wa Tažunnūna 'In Labithtum 'Illā Qalīlāan
وَقُلْ لِعِبَادِي يَقُولُوا الَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ ۚ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَنْزَغُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلْإِنْسَانِ عَدُوًّا مُبِينًا 53
Translation
And say to My slaves (to) say that which (is) best Indeed the Shaitaan sows discord between them Indeed the Shaitaan is to the man an enemy clear
Transliteration
Wa Qul Li`ibādī Yaqūlū Allatī Hiya 'Aĥsanu 'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Yanzaghu Baynahum 'Inna Ash-Shayţāna Kāna Lil'insāni `Adūwāan Mubīnāan
رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ ۖ إِنْ يَشَأْ يَرْحَمْكُمْ أَوْ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُعَذِّبْكُمْ ۚ وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَكِيلًا 54
Translation
Your Lord (is) most knowing of you If He wills He will have mercy on you; or if He wills He will punish you And not We have sent you over them (as) a guardian
Transliteration
Rabbukum 'A`lamu Bikum 'In Yasha' Yarĥamkum 'Aw 'In Yasha' Yu`adhdhibkum Wa Mā 'Arsalnāka `Alayhim Wa Kīlāan
وَرَبُّكَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ ۗ وَلَقَدْ فَضَّلْنَا بَعْضَ النَّبِيِّينَ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ ۖ وَآتَيْنَا دَاوُودَ زَبُورًا 55
Translation
And your Lord (is) most knowing of whoever (is) in the heavens and the earth And verily We have preferred some (of) the Prophets to others And We gave Dawood Zaboor
Transliteration
Wa Rabbuka 'A`lamu Biman Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Laqad Fađđalnā Ba`đa An-Nabīyīna `Alá Ba`đin Wa 'Ātaynā Dāwūda Zabūrāan
قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ فَلَا يَمْلِكُونَ كَشْفَ الضُّرِّ عَنْكُمْ وَلَا تَحْوِيلًا 56
Translation
Say Call those whom you claimed besides Him besides Him [then] not they have power (to) remove the misfortunes from you and not (to) transfer (it)
Transliteration
Quli Ad`ū Al-Ladhīna Za`amtum Min Dūnihi Falā Yamlikūna Kashfa Ađ-Đurri `Ankum Wa Lā Taĥwīlāan
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ يَبْتَغُونَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمُ الْوَسِيلَةَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ وَيَرْجُونَ رَحْمَتَهُ وَيَخَافُونَ عَذَابَهُ ۚ إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّكَ كَانَ مَحْذُورًا 57
Translation
Those whom they call seek to their Lord the means of access which of them (is) nearest and they hope (for) His mercy and fear His punishment Indeed (the) punishment (of) your Lord is (ever) feared
Transliteration
''Ūlā'ika Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Yabtaghūna 'Ilá Rabbihimu Al-Wasīlata 'Ayyuhum 'Aqrabu Wa Yarjūna Raĥmatahu Wa Yakhāfūna `Adhābahu 'Inna `Adhāba Rabbika Kāna Maĥdhūrāan
وَإِنْ مِنْ قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا نَحْنُ مُهْلِكُوهَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ أَوْ مُعَذِّبُوهَا عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا ۚ كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَسْطُورًا 58
Translation
And not (is) any town but We (will) destroy it before (the) Day (of) the Resurrection or punish it with a punishment severe That is That is in the Book written
Transliteration
Wa 'In Min Qaryatin 'Illā Naĥnu Muhlikūhā Qabla Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati 'Aw Mu`adhdhibūhā `Adhābāan Shadīdāan Kāna Dhālika Fī Al-Kitābi Masţūrāan
وَمَا مَنَعَنَا أَنْ نُرْسِلَ بِالْآيَاتِ إِلَّا أَنْ كَذَّبَ بِهَا الْأَوَّلُونَ ۚ وَآتَيْنَا ثَمُودَ النَّاقَةَ مُبْصِرَةً فَظَلَمُوا بِهَا ۚ وَمَا نُرْسِلُ بِالْآيَاتِ إِلَّا تَخْوِيفًا 59
Translation
And not stopped Us that We send the Signs except that denied them the former (people) And We gave Thamud the she-camel (as) a visible sign but they wronged her And not We send the Signs except (as) a warning
Transliteration
Wa Mā Mana`anā 'An Nursila Bil-'Āyāti 'Illā 'An Kadhdhaba Bihā Al-'Awwalūna Wa 'Ātaynā Thamūda An-Nāqata Mubşiratan Fažalamū Bihā Wa Mā Nursilu Bil-'Āyāti 'Illā Takhwīfāan
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لَكَ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ أَحَاطَ بِالنَّاسِ ۚ وَمَا جَعَلْنَا الرُّؤْيَا الَّتِي أَرَيْنَاكَ إِلَّا فِتْنَةً لِلنَّاسِ وَالشَّجَرَةَ الْمَلْعُونَةَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ ۚ وَنُخَوِّفُهُمْ فَمَا يَزِيدُهُمْ إِلَّا طُغْيَانًا كَبِيرًا 60
Translation
And when We said to you Indeed your Lord has encompassed the mankind And not We made the vision which We showed you except (as) a trial for mankind and the tree the accursed in the Quran And We threaten them but not it increases them except (in) transgression great
Transliteration
Wa 'Idh Qulnā Laka 'Inna Rabbaka 'Aĥāţa Bin-Nāsi Wa Mā Ja`alnā Ar-Ru'uyā Allatī 'Araynāka 'Illā Fitnatan Lilnnāsi Wa Ash-Shajarata Al-Mal`ūnata Fī Al-Qur'āni Wa Nukhawwifuhum Famā Yazīduhum 'Illā Ţughyānāan Kabīrāan
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا 61
Translation
And when We said to the Angels Prostrate to Adam So they prostrated except Iblis He said Shall I prostrate to (one) whom You created (from) clay
Transliteration
Wa 'Idh Qulnā Lilmalā'ikati Asjudū Li'dama Fasajadū 'Illā 'Iblīsa Qāla 'A'asjudu Liman Khalaqta Ţīnāan
قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكَ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كَرَّمْتَ عَلَيَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ لَأَحْتَنِكَنَّ ذُرِّيَّتَهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا 62
Translation
He said Do You see this whom You have honored above me If You give me respite till (the) Day (of) the Resurrection I will surely destroy his offspring except a few
Transliteration
Qāla 'Ara'aytaka Hādhā Al-Ladhī Karramta `Alayya La'in 'Akhkhartanī 'Ilá Yawmi Al-Qiyāmati La'aĥtanikanna Dhurrīyatahu 'Illā Qalīlāan
قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَمَنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ فَإِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ جَزَاؤُكُمْ جَزَاءً مَوْفُورًا 63
Translation
He said Go and whoever follows you among them then indeed Hell (is) your recompense - a recompense ample
Transliteration
Qāla Adh/hab Faman Tabi`aka Minhum Fa'inna Jahannama Jazā'uukum Jazā'an Mawfūrāan
وَاسْتَفْزِزْ مَنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ مِنْهُمْ بِصَوْتِكَ وَأَجْلِبْ عَلَيْهِمْ بِخَيْلِكَ وَرَجِلِكَ وَشَارِكْهُمْ فِي الْأَمْوَالِ وَالْأَوْلَادِ وَعِدْهُمْ ۚ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا 64
Translation
And incite whoever you can among them with your voice and assault [on] them with your cavalry and infantry and be a partner in the wealth and the children and promise them And not promises them the Shaitaan except delusion
Transliteration
Wa Astafziz Mani Astaţa`ta Minhum Bişawtika Wa 'Ajlib `Alayhim Bikhaylika Wa Rajilika Wa Shārik/hum Fī Al-'Amwli Wa Al-'Awlādi Wa `Id/hum Wa Mā Ya`iduhumu Ash-Shayţānu 'Illā Ghurūrāan
إِنَّ عِبَادِي لَيْسَ لَكَ عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَانٌ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ وَكِيلًا 65
Translation
Indeed My slaves not for you over them any authority And sufficient (is) your Lord (as) a Guardian
Transliteration
'Inna `Ibādī Laysa Laka `Alayhim Sulţānun Wa Kafá Birabbika Wa Kīlāan
رَبُّكُمُ الَّذِي يُزْجِي لَكُمُ الْفُلْكَ فِي الْبَحْرِ لِتَبْتَغُوا مِنْ فَضْلِهِ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِكُمْ رَحِيمًا 66
Translation
Your Lord (is) the One Who drives for you the ship in the sea that you may seek of His Bounty Indeed He is to you Ever Merciful
Transliteration
Rabbukumu Al-Ladhī Yuzjī Lakumu Al-Fulka Fī Al-Baĥri Litabtaghū Min Fađlihi 'Innahu Kāna Bikum Raĥīmāan
وَإِذَا مَسَّكُمُ الضُّرُّ فِي الْبَحْرِ ضَلَّ مَنْ تَدْعُونَ إِلَّا إِيَّاهُ ۖ فَلَمَّا نَجَّاكُمْ إِلَى الْبَرِّ أَعْرَضْتُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ كَفُورًا 67
Translation
And when touches you the hardship in the sea lost (are) who you call except Him Alone But when He delivers you to the land you turn away And is man ungrateful
Transliteration
Wa 'Idhā Massakumu Ađ-Đurru Fī Al-Baĥri Đalla Man Tad`ūna 'Illā 'Īyāhu Falammā Najjākum 'Ilá Al-Barri 'A`rađtum Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu Kafūrāan
أَفَأَمِنْتُمْ أَنْ يَخْسِفَ بِكُمْ جَانِبَ الْبَرِّ أَوْ يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُوا لَكُمْ وَكِيلًا 68
Translation
Do you then feel secure that (not) He will cause to swallow you side (of) the land or send against you a storm of stones Then not you will find for you a guardian
Transliteration
'Afa'amintum 'An Yakhsifa Bikum Jāniba Al-Barri 'Aw Yursila `Alaykum Ĥāşibāan Thumma Lā Tajidū Lakum Wa Kīlāan
أَمْ أَمِنْتُمْ أَنْ يُعِيدَكُمْ فِيهِ تَارَةً أُخْرَىٰ فَيُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ قَاصِفًا مِنَ الرِّيحِ فَيُغْرِقَكُمْ بِمَا كَفَرْتُمْ ۙ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُوا لَكُمْ عَلَيْنَا بِهِ تَبِيعًا 69
Translation
Or do you feel secure that (not) He will send you back into it another time another time and send upon you a hurricane of the wind and drown you because you disbelieved Then not you will find for you against Us therein an avenger
Transliteration
'Am 'Amintum 'An Yu`īdakum Fīhi Tāratan 'Ukhrá Fayursila `Alaykum Qāşifāan Mina Ar-Rīĥi Fayughriqakum Bimā Kafartum Thumma Lā Tajidū Lakum `Alaynā Bihi Tabī`āan
۞ وَلَقَدْ كَرَّمْنَا بَنِي آدَمَ وَحَمَلْنَاهُمْ فِي الْبَرِّ وَالْبَحْرِ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَىٰ كَثِيرٍ مِمَّنْ خَلَقْنَا تَفْضِيلًا 70
Translation
And certainly We have honored (the) children of Adam (the) children of Adam and We carried them on the land and the sea and We have provided them of the good things and We preferred them over many of those whom We have created (with) preference
Transliteration
Wa Laqad Karramnā Banī 'Ādama Wa Ĥamalnāhum Fī Al-Barri Wa Al-Baĥri Wa Razaqnāhum Mina Aţ-Ţayyibāti Wa Fađđalnāhum `Alá Kathīrin Mimman Khalaqnā Tafđīlāan
يَوْمَ نَدْعُو كُلَّ أُنَاسٍ بِإِمَامِهِمْ ۖ فَمَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَأُولَٰئِكَ يَقْرَءُونَ كِتَابَهُمْ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا 71
Translation
(The) Day We will call all human beings with their record then whoever is given his record in his right hand then those will read their records and not they will be wronged (even as much as) a hair on a date seed
Transliteration
Yawma Nad`ū Kulla 'Unāsin Bi'imāmihim Faman 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Biyamīnihi Fa'ūlā'ika Yaqra'ūna Kitābahum Wa Lā Yužlamūna Fatīlāan
وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي هَٰذِهِ أَعْمَىٰ فَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ أَعْمَىٰ وَأَضَلُّ سَبِيلًا 72
Translation
And whoever is in this (world) blind then he in the Hereafter (will be) blind and more astray (from the) path
Transliteration
Wa Man Kāna Fī Hadhihi 'A`má Fahuwa Fī Al-'Ākhirati 'A`má Wa 'Ađallu Sabīlāan
وَإِنْ كَادُوا لَيَفْتِنُونَكَ عَنِ الَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ لِتَفْتَرِيَ عَلَيْنَا غَيْرَهُ ۖ وَإِذًا لَاتَّخَذُوكَ خَلِيلًا 73
Translation
And indeed they were about (to) tempt you away from that which We revealed to you that you invent about Us other (than) it And then surely they would take you (as) a friend
Transliteration
Wa 'In Kādū Layaftinūnaka `Ani Al-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Litaftariya `Alaynā Ghayrahu Wa 'Idhāan Lāttakhadhūka Khalīlāan
وَلَوْلَا أَنْ ثَبَّتْنَاكَ لَقَدْ كِدْتَ تَرْكَنُ إِلَيْهِمْ شَيْئًا قَلِيلًا 74
Translation
And if not [that] We (had) strengthened you certainly you almost (would) have inclined to them (in) something a little
Transliteration
Wa Lawlā 'An Thabbatnāka Laqad Kidtta Tarkanu 'Ilayhim Shay'āan Qalīlāan
إِذًا لَأَذَقْنَاكَ ضِعْفَ الْحَيَاةِ وَضِعْفَ الْمَمَاتِ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ عَلَيْنَا نَصِيرًا 75
Translation
Then We (would) have made you taste double (in) the life and double (after) the death Then not you (would) have found for you against Us any helper
Transliteration
'Idhāan La'adhaqnāka Đi`fa Al-Ĥayāati Wa Đi`fa Al-Mamāti Thumma Lā Tajidu Laka `Alaynā Naşīrāan
وَإِنْ كَادُوا لَيَسْتَفِزُّونَكَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ لِيُخْرِجُوكَ مِنْهَا ۖ وَإِذًا لَا يَلْبَثُونَ خِلَافَكَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا 76
Translation
And indeed they were about (to) scare you from the land that they evict you from it But then not they (would) have stayed after you except a little
Transliteration
Wa 'In Kādū Layastafizzūnaka Mina Al-'Arđi Liyukhrijūka Minhā Wa 'Idhāan Lā Yalbathūna Khilāfaka 'Illā Qalīlāan
سُنَّةَ مَنْ قَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا قَبْلَكَ مِنْ رُسُلِنَا ۖ وَلَا تَجِدُ لِسُنَّتِنَا تَحْوِيلًا 77
Translation
(Such is Our) Way (for) whom [verily] We sent before you of Our Messengers And not you will find (in) Our way any alteration
Transliteration
SSunnata Man Qad 'Arsalnā Qablaka Min Rusulinā Wa Lā Tajidu Lisunnatinā Taĥwīlāan
أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا 78
Translation
Establish the prayer at the decline (of) the sun till (the) darkness (of) the night and Quran at dawn indeed the Quran (at) the dawn is ever witnessed
Transliteration
'Aqimi Aş-Şalāata Lidulūki Ash-Shamsi 'Ilá Ghasaqi Al-Layli Wa Qur'āna Al-Fajri 'Inna Qur'āna Al-Fajri Kāna Mash/hūdāan
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِ نَافِلَةً لَكَ عَسَىٰ أَنْ يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا 79
Translation
And from the night arise from sleep for prayer with it (as) additional for you; it may be that will raise you your Lord (to) a station praiseworthy
Transliteration
Wa Mina Al-Layli Fatahajjad Bihi Nāfilatan Laka `Asá 'An Yab`athaka Rabbuka Maqāmāan Maĥmūdāan
وَقُلْ رَبِّ أَدْخِلْنِي مُدْخَلَ صِدْقٍ وَأَخْرِجْنِي مُخْرَجَ صِدْقٍ وَاجْعَلْ لِي مِنْ لَدُنْكَ سُلْطَانًا نَصِيرًا 80
Translation
And say My Lord! Cause me to enter an entrance sound and cause me to exit an exit sound and make for me from near You an authority helping
Transliteration
Wa Qul Rabbi 'Adkhilnī Mudkhala Şidqin Wa 'Akhrijnī Mukhraja Şidqin Wa Aj`al Lī Min Ladunka Sulţānāan Naşīrāan
وَقُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ ۚ إِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوقًا 81
Translation
And say Has come the truth and perished the falsehood Indeed the falsehood is (bound) to perish
Transliteration
Wa Qul Jā'a Al-Ĥaqqu Wa Zahaqa Al-Bāţilu 'Inna Al-Bāţila Kāna Zahūqāan
وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ مَا هُوَ شِفَاءٌ وَرَحْمَةٌ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۙ وَلَا يَزِيدُ الظَّالِمِينَ إِلَّا خَسَارًا 82
Translation
And We reveal from the Quran that it (is) a healing and a mercy for the believers but not it increases the wrongdoers except (in) loss
Transliteration
Wa Nunazzilu Mina Al-Qur'āni Mā Huwa Shifā'un Wa Raĥmatun Lilmu'uminīna Wa Lā Yazīdu Až-Žālimīna 'Illā Khasārāan
وَإِذَا أَنْعَمْنَا عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ أَعْرَضَ وَنَأَىٰ بِجَانِبِهِ ۖ وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ كَانَ يَئُوسًا 83
Translation
And when We bestow favor on man he turns away and becomes remote on his side And when touches him the evil he is (in) despair
Transliteration
Wa 'Idhā 'An`amnā `Alá Al-'Insāni 'A`rađa Wa Na'á Bijānibihi Wa 'Idhā Massahu Ash-Sharru Kāna Ya'ūsāan
قُلْ كُلٌّ يَعْمَلُ عَلَىٰ شَاكِلَتِهِ فَرَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنْ هُوَ أَهْدَىٰ سَبِيلًا 84
Translation
Say Each works on his manner but your Lord (is) most knowing of who [he] (is) best guided (in) way
Transliteration
Qul Kullun Ya`malu `Alá Shākilatihi Farabbukum 'A`lamu Biman Huwa 'Ahdá Sabīlāan
وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الرُّوحِ ۖ قُلِ الرُّوحُ مِنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّي وَمَا أُوتِيتُمْ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا 85
Translation
And they ask you concerning the soul Say The soul (is) of (the) affair (of) my Lord And not you have been given of the knowledge except a little
Transliteration
Wa Yas'alūnaka `Ani Ar-Rūĥi Quli Ar-Rūĥu Min 'Amri Rabbī Wa Mā 'Ūtītum Mina Al-`Ilmi 'Illā Qalīlāan
وَلَئِنْ شِئْنَا لَنَذْهَبَنَّ بِالَّذِي أَوْحَيْنَا إِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ لَا تَجِدُ لَكَ بِهِ عَلَيْنَا وَكِيلًا 86
Translation
And if We willed We (would) have surely taken away that which We have revealed to you Then not you would find for you concerning it against Us any advocate
Transliteration
Wa La'in Shi'nā Lanadh/habanna Bial-Ladhī 'Awĥaynā 'Ilayka Thumma Lā Tajidu Laka Bihi `Alaynā Wa Kīlāan
إِلَّا رَحْمَةً مِنْ رَبِّكَ ۚ إِنَّ فَضْلَهُ كَانَ عَلَيْكَ كَبِيرًا 87
Translation
Except a mercy from your Lord Indeed His Bounty is upon you great
Transliteration
'Illā Raĥmatan Min Rabbika 'Inna Fađlahu Kāna `Alayka Kabīrāan
قُلْ لَئِنِ اجْتَمَعَتِ الْإِنْسُ وَالْجِنُّ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَأْتُوا بِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ لَا يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا 88
Translation
Say If gathered the mankind and the jinn to [that] bring the like (of) this Quran not they (could) bring the like of it even if were some of them to some others assistants
Transliteration
Qul La'ini Ajtama`ati Al-'Insu Wa Al-Jinnu `Alá 'An Ya'tū Bimithli Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Lā Ya'tūna Bimithlihi Wa Law Kāna Ba`đuhum Liba`đin Žahīrāan
وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِي هَٰذَا الْقُرْآنِ مِنْ كُلِّ مَثَلٍ فَأَبَىٰ أَكْثَرُ النَّاسِ إِلَّا كُفُورًا 89
Translation
And verily We have explained to mankind in this Quran from every example but refused most (of) the mankind except disbelief
Transliteration
Wa Laqad Şarrafnā Lilnnāsi Fī Hādhā Al-Qur'āni Min Kulli Mathalin Fa'abá 'Aktharu An-Nāsi 'Illā Kufūrāan
وَقَالُوا لَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتَّىٰ تَفْجُرَ لَنَا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ يَنْبُوعًا 90
Translation
And they say Never we will believe in you until you cause to gush forth for us from the earth a spring
Transliteration
Wa Qālū Lan Nu'umina Laka Ĥattá Tafjura Lanā Mina Al-'Arđi Yanbū`āan
أَوْ تَكُونَ لَكَ جَنَّةٌ مِنْ نَخِيلٍ وَعِنَبٍ فَتُفَجِّرَ الْأَنْهَارَ خِلَالَهَا تَفْجِيرًا 91
Translation
Or you have for you a garden of date-palms and grapes and cause to gush forth the rivers within them abundantly
Transliteration
'Aw Takūna Laka Jannatun Min Nakhīlin Wa `Inabin Fatufajjira Al-'Anhāra Khilālahā Tafjīrāan
أَوْ تُسْقِطَ السَّمَاءَ كَمَا زَعَمْتَ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًا أَوْ تَأْتِيَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ قَبِيلًا 92
Translation
Or you cause to fall the sky as you have claimed upon us (in) pieces or you bring Allah and the Angels before (us)
Transliteration
'Aw Tusqiţa As-Samā'a Kamā Za`amta `Alaynā Kisafāan 'Aw Ta'tiya Billāhi Wa Al-Malā'ikati Qabīlāan
أَوْ يَكُونَ لَكَ بَيْتٌ مِنْ زُخْرُفٍ أَوْ تَرْقَىٰ فِي السَّمَاءِ وَلَنْ نُؤْمِنَ لِرُقِيِّكَ حَتَّىٰ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا كِتَابًا نَقْرَؤُهُ ۗ قُلْ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّي هَلْ كُنْتُ إِلَّا بَشَرًا رَسُولًا 93
Translation
Or is for you a house of ornament or you ascend into the sky And never we will believe in your ascension until you bring down to us a book we could read it Say Glorified (is) my Lord! What am I but a human a Messenger
Transliteration
'Aw Yakūna Laka Baytun Min Zukhrufin 'Aw Tarqá Fī As-Samā'i Wa Lan Nu'umina Liruqīyika Ĥattá Tunazzila `Alaynā Kitābāan Naqra'uuhu Qul Subĥāna Rabbī Hal Kuntu 'Illā Basharāan Rasūlāan
وَمَا مَنَعَ النَّاسَ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا إِذْ جَاءَهُمُ الْهُدَىٰ إِلَّا أَنْ قَالُوا أَبَعَثَ اللَّهُ بَشَرًا رَسُولًا 94
Translation
And what prevented the people that they believe when came to them the guidance except that they said Has Allah sent Has Allah sent a human Messenger
Transliteration
Wa Mā Mana`a An-Nāsa 'An Yu'uminū 'Idh Jā'ahumu Al-Hudá 'Illā 'An Qālū 'Aba`atha Allāhu Basharāan Rasūlāan
قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ فِي الْأَرْضِ مَلَائِكَةٌ يَمْشُونَ مُطْمَئِنِّينَ لَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَلَكًا رَسُولًا 95
Translation
Say If (there) were in the earth Angels walking securely surely We (would) have sent down to them from the heaven an Angel (as) a Messenger
Transliteration
Qul Law Kāna Fī Al-'Arđi Malā'ikatun Yamshūna Muţma'innīna Lanazzalnā `Alayhim Mina As-Samā'i Malakāan Rasūlāan
قُلْ كَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ شَهِيدًا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِعِبَادِهِ خَبِيرًا بَصِيرًا 96
Translation
Say Sufficient is Allah (as) a witness between me and between you Indeed He is of His slaves All-Aware All-Seer
Transliteration
Qul Kafá Billāhi Shahīdāan Baynī Wa Baynakum 'Innahu Kāna Bi`ibādihi Khabīrāan Başīrāan
وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللَّهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِ ۖ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءَ مِنْ دُونِهِ ۖ وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ عُمْيًا وَبُكْمًا وَصُمًّا ۖ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَاهُمْ سَعِيرًا 97
Translation
And whoever Allah guides Allah guides then he (is) the guided one and whoever He lets go astray then never you will find for them protectors besides Him besides Him And We will gather them (on) the Day (of) the Resurrection on their faces blind and dumb and deaf Their abode (is) Hell every time it subsides We (will) increase (for) them the blazing fire
Transliteration
Wa Man Yahdi Allāhu Fahuwa Al-Muhtadi Wa Man Yuđlil Falan Tajida Lahum 'Awliyā'a Min Dūnihi Wa Naĥshuruhum Yawma Al-Qiyāmati `Alá Wajūhihim `Umyāan Wa Bukmāan Wa Şummāan Ma'wāhum Jahannamu Kullamā Khabat Zidnāhum Sa`īrāan
ذَٰلِكَ جَزَاؤُهُمْ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَفَرُوا بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالُوا أَإِذَا كُنَّا عِظَامًا وَرُفَاتًا أَإِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ خَلْقًا جَدِيدًا 98
Translation
That (is) their recompense because they disbelieved in Our Verses and said When we are bones and crumbled particles will we surely (be) resurrected (as) a creation new
Transliteration
Dhālika Jazā'uuhum Bi'annahum Kafarū Bi'āyātinā Wa Qālū 'A'idhā Kunnā `Ižāmāan Wa Rufātāan 'A'innā Lamab`ūthūna Khalqāan Jadīdāan
۞ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ قَادِرٌ عَلَىٰ أَنْ يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُمْ وَجَعَلَ لَهُمْ أَجَلًا لَا رَيْبَ فِيهِ فَأَبَى الظَّالِمُونَ إِلَّا كُفُورًا 99
Translation
Do not they see that Allah the One Who created the heavens and the earth (is) Able [on] to create the like of them And He has made for them a term no doubt in it But refused the wrongdoers except disbelief
Transliteration
'Awalam Yaraw 'Anna Allāha Al-Ladhī Khalaqa As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđa Qādirun `Alá 'An Yakhluqa Mithlahum Wa Ja`ala Lahum 'Ajalāan Lā Rayba Fīhi Fa'abá Až-Žālimūna 'Illā Kufūrāan
قُلْ لَوْ أَنْتُمْ تَمْلِكُونَ خَزَائِنَ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّي إِذًا لَأَمْسَكْتُمْ خَشْيَةَ الْإِنْفَاقِ ۚ وَكَانَ الْإِنْسَانُ قَتُورًا 100
Translation
Say If you possess the treasures (of) the Mercy (of) my Lord then surely you would withhold (out of) fear (of) spending And is man stingy
Transliteration
Qul Law 'Antum Tamlikūna Khazā'ina Raĥmati Rabbī 'Idhāan La'amsaktum Khashyata Al-'Infāqi Wa Kāna Al-'Insānu Qatūrāan
وَلَقَدْ آتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ تِسْعَ آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ ۖ فَاسْأَلْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ إِذْ جَاءَهُمْ فَقَالَ لَهُ فِرْعَوْنُ إِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَا مُوسَىٰ مَسْحُورًا 101
Translation
And certainly We had given Musa nine Signs clear so ask (the) Children of Israel (the) Children of Israel when he came to them then said to him Firaun Indeed, I [I] think you O Musa (you are) bewitched
Transliteration
Wa Laqad 'Ātaynā Mūsá Tis`a 'Āyātin Bayyinātin Fās'l Banī 'Isrā'īla 'Idh Jā'ahum Faqāla Lahu Fir`awnu 'Innī La'ažunnuka Yāmūsá Masĥūrāan
قَالَ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا أَنْزَلَ هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِلَّا رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ بَصَائِرَ وَإِنِّي لَأَظُنُّكَ يَا فِرْعَوْنُ مَثْبُورًا 102
Translation
He said Verily you know none has sent down these except (the) Lord (of) the heavens and the earth (as) evidence and indeed I [I] surely think you O Firaun! (you are) destroyed
Transliteration
Qāla Laqad `Alimta Mā 'Anzala Hā'uulā' 'Illā Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Başā'ira Wa 'Innī La'ažunnuka Yā Fir`awnu Mathbūrāan
فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْتَفِزَّهُمْ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ فَأَغْرَقْنَاهُ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ جَمِيعًا 103
Translation
So he intended to drive them out from the land but We drowned him and who (were) with him all
Transliteration
Fa'arāda 'An Yastafizzahum Mina Al-'Arđi Fa'aghraqnāhu Wa Man Ma`ahu Jamī`āan
وَقُلْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ لِبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ اسْكُنُوا الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا جَاءَ وَعْدُ الْآخِرَةِ جِئْنَا بِكُمْ لَفِيفًا 104
Translation
And We said after him after him to the Children of Israel to the Children of Israel Dwell (in) the land then when comes (the) promise (of) the Hereafter We will bring you (as) a mixed crowd
Transliteration
Wa Qulnā Min Ba`dihi Libanī 'Isrā'īla Askunū Al-'Arđa Fa'idhā Jā'a Wa`du Al-'Ākhirati Ji'nā Bikum Lafīfāan
وَبِالْحَقِّ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ وَبِالْحَقِّ نَزَلَ ۗ وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا 105
Translation
And with the truth We sent it down and with the truth it descended And not We sent you except (as) a bearer of glad tidings and a warner
Transliteration
WWa Bil-Ĥaqqi 'Anzalnāhu Wa Bil-Ĥaqqi Nazala Wa Mā 'Arsalnāka 'Illā Mubashshirāan Wa Nadhīrāan
وَقُرْآنًا فَرَقْنَاهُ لِتَقْرَأَهُ عَلَى النَّاسِ عَلَىٰ مُكْثٍ وَنَزَّلْنَاهُ تَنْزِيلًا 106
Translation
And the Quran We have divided that you might recite it to the people at intervals And We have revealed it (in) stages
Transliteration
Wa Qur'ānāan Faraqnāhu Litaqra'ahu `Alá An-Nāsi `Alá Mukthin Wa Nazzalnāhu Tanzīlāan
قُلْ آمِنُوا بِهِ أَوْ لَا تُؤْمِنُوا ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِ إِذَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِمْ يَخِرُّونَ لِلْأَذْقَانِ سُجَّدًا 107
Translation
Say Believe in it or (do) not believe Indeed those who were given the knowledge before it before it when it is recited to them they fall on their faces (in) prostration
Transliteration
Qul 'Āminū Bihi 'Aw Lā Tu'uminū 'Inna Al-Ladhīna 'Ūtū Al-`Ilma Min Qablihi 'Idhā Yutlá `Alayhim Yakhirrūna Lil'adhqāni Sujjadāan
وَيَقُولُونَ سُبْحَانَ رَبِّنَا إِنْ كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولًا 108
Translation
And they say Glory be to our Lord! Indeed is (the) promise (of) our Lord surely fulfilled
Transliteration
Wa Yaqūlūna Subĥāna Rabbinā 'In Kāna Wa`du Rabbinā Lamaf`ūlāan
وَيَخِرُّونَ لِلْأَذْقَانِ يَبْكُونَ وَيَزِيدُهُمْ خُشُوعًا ۩ 109
Translation
And they fall on their faces weeping and it increases them (in) humility
Transliteration
Wa Yakhirrūna Lil'adhqāni Yabkūna Wa Yazīduhum Khushū`āan
قُلِ ادْعُوا اللَّهَ أَوِ ادْعُوا الرَّحْمَٰنَ ۖ أَيًّا مَا تَدْعُوا فَلَهُ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَٰلِكَ سَبِيلًا 110
Translation
Say Invoke Allah or invoke the Most Gracious By whatever (name) By whatever (name) you invoke to Him (belongs) the Most Beautiful Names the Most Beautiful Names And (do) not be loud in your prayers and not be silent therein but seek between that a way
Transliteration
Qul Ad`ū Allāha 'Aw Ad`ū Ar-Raĥmana 'Ayyāanan Mmā Tad`ū Falahu Al-'Asmā'u Al-Ĥusná Wa Lā Tajhar Bişalātika Wa Lā Tukhāfit Bihā Wa Abtaghi Bayna Dhālika Sabīlāan
وَقُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ وَلِيٌّ مِنَ الذُّلِّ ۖ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًا 111
Translation
And say All Praise (is) for Allah the One Who has not taken has not taken a son and not is for Him a partner in the dominion and not is for Him any protector out of weakness And magnify Him (with all) magnificence
Transliteration
Wa Quli Al-Ĥamdu Lillāhi Al-Ladhī Lam Yattakhidh Waladāan Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Sharīkun Fī Al-Mulki Wa Lam Yakun Lahu Wa Līyun Mina Adh-Dhulli Wa Kabbirhu Takbīrāan
