Şād The Letter 'Saad'
﷽
ص ۚ وَالْقُرْآنِ ذِي الذِّكْرِ 1
Translation
Saad By the Quran full (of) reminder full (of) reminder
Transliteration
Şād Wa Al-Qur'āni Dhī Adh-Dhikri
بَلِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا فِي عِزَّةٍ وَشِقَاقٍ 2
Translation
Nay those who disbelieve (are) in self-glory and opposition
Transliteration
Bali Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fī `Izzatin Wa Shiqāqin
كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ فَنَادَوْا وَلَاتَ حِينَ مَنَاصٍ 3
Translation
How many We destroyed before them before them of a generation then they called out when there (was) no longer time (for) escape
Transliteration
Kam 'Ahlaknā Min Qablihim Min Qarnin Fanādaw Walāta Ĥīna Manāşin
وَعَجِبُوا أَنْ جَاءَهُمْ مُنْذِرٌ مِنْهُمْ ۖ وَقَالَ الْكَافِرُونَ هَٰذَا سَاحِرٌ كَذَّابٌ 4
Translation
And they wonder that has come to them a warner from among themselves And said the disbelievers This (is) a magician a liar
Transliteration
Wa `Ajibū 'An Jā'ahum Mundhirun Minhum Wa Qāla Al-Kāfirūna Hādhā Sāĥirun Kadhdhābun
أَجَعَلَ الْآلِهَةَ إِلَٰهًا وَاحِدًا ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ عُجَابٌ 5
Translation
Has he made the gods (into) one god (into) one god Indeed this (is) certainly a thing curious
Transliteration
''Aja`ala Al-'Ālihata 'Ilahāan Wāĥidāan 'Inna Hādhā Lashay'un `Ujābun
وَانْطَلَقَ الْمَلَأُ مِنْهُمْ أَنِ امْشُوا وَاصْبِرُوا عَلَىٰ آلِهَتِكُمْ ۖ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَشَيْءٌ يُرَادُ 6
Translation
And went forth the chiefs among them that Continue and be patient over your gods Indeed this (is) certainly a thing intended
Transliteration
Wa Anţalaqa Al-Mala'u Minhum 'Ani Amshū Wa Aşbirū `Alá 'Ālihatikum 'Inna Hādhā Lashay'un Yurādu
مَا سَمِعْنَا بِهَٰذَا فِي الْمِلَّةِ الْآخِرَةِ إِنْ هَٰذَا إِلَّا اخْتِلَاقٌ 7
Translation
Not we heard of this in the religion the last Not (is) this but a fabrication
Transliteration
Mā Sami`nā Bihadhā Fī Al-Millati Al-'Ākhirati 'In Hādhā 'Illā Akhtilāqun
أَأُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ الذِّكْرُ مِنْ بَيْنِنَا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ فِي شَكٍّ مِنْ ذِكْرِي ۖ بَلْ لَمَّا يَذُوقُوا عَذَابِ 8
Translation
Has been revealed to him the Message from among us Nay They (are) in doubt about My Message Nay not they have tasted My punishment
Transliteration
''A'uunzila `Alayhi Adh-Dhikru Min Bayninā Bal Hum Fī Shakkin Min Dhikrī Bal Lammā Yadhūqū `Adhābi
أَمْ عِنْدَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَحْمَةِ رَبِّكَ الْعَزِيزِ الْوَهَّابِ 9
Translation
Or have they (the) treasures (of the) Mercy (of) your Lord the All-Mighty the Bestower
Transliteration
'Am `Indahum Khazā'inu Raĥmati Rabbika Al-`Azīzi Al-Wahhābi
أَمْ لَهُمْ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ۖ فَلْيَرْتَقُوا فِي الْأَسْبَابِ 10
Translation
Or for them (is the) dominion (of) the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between them Then let them ascend by the means
Transliteration
'Am Lahum Mulku As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā Falyartaqū Fī Al-'Asbābi
جُنْدٌ مَا هُنَالِكَ مَهْزُومٌ مِنَ الْأَحْزَابِ 11
Translation
Soldiers there there (they will be) defeated among the companies
Transliteration
Jundun Mā Hunālika Mahzūmun Mina Al-'Aĥzābi
كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَفِرْعَوْنُ ذُو الْأَوْتَادِ 12
Translation
Denied before them (the) people (of) Nuh and Aad and Firaun (the) owner (of) the stakes
Transliteration
Kadhdhabat Qablahum Qawmu Nūĥin Wa `Ādun Wa Fir`awnu Dhū Al-'Awtādi
وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَابُ الْأَيْكَةِ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ الْأَحْزَابُ 13
Translation
And Thamud and (the) people (of) Lut and (the) companions (of) the wood Those (were) the companies
Transliteration
Wa Thamūdu Wa Qawmu Lūţin Wa 'Aşĥābu Al-'Aykati 'Ūlā'ika Al-'Aĥzābu
إِنْ كُلٌّ إِلَّا كَذَّبَ الرُّسُلَ فَحَقَّ عِقَابِ 14
Translation
Not all (of them) but denied the Messengers so was just My penalty
Transliteration
'In Kullun 'Illā Kadhdhaba Ar-Rusula Faĥaqqa `Iqābi
وَمَا يَنْظُرُ هَٰؤُلَاءِ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً مَا لَهَا مِنْ فَوَاقٍ 15
Translation
And not await these but a shout one; not for it any delay
Transliteration
Wa Mā Yanžuru Hā'uulā' 'Illā Şayĥatan Wāĥidatan Mā Lahā Min Fawāqin
وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا عَجِّلْ لَنَا قِطَّنَا قَبْلَ يَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ 16
Translation
And they say Our Lord! Hasten for us our share before (the) Day (of) the Account
Transliteration
Wa Qālū Rabbanā `Ajjil Lanā Qiţţanā Qabla Yawmi Al-Ĥisābi
اصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ ۖ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ 17
Translation
Be patient over what they say and remember Our slave Dawood the possessor of strength the possessor of strength Indeed, he (was) repeatedly turning
Transliteration
Aşbir `Alá Mā Yaqūlūna Wa Adhkur `Abdanā Dāwūda Dhā Al-'Aydi 'Innahu 'Awwābun
إِنَّا سَخَّرْنَا الْجِبَالَ مَعَهُ يُسَبِّحْنَ بِالْعَشِيِّ وَالْإِشْرَاقِ 18
Translation
Indeed We subjected the mountains with him glorifying in the evening and [the] sunrise
Transliteration
'Innā Sakhkharnā Al-Jibāla Ma`ahu Yusabbiĥna Bil-`Ashīyi Wa Al-'Ishrāqi
وَالطَّيْرَ مَحْشُورَةً ۖ كُلٌّ لَهُ أَوَّابٌ 19
Translation
And the birds assembled all with him repeatedly turning
Transliteration
WWa Aţ-Ţayra Maĥshūratan Kullun Lahu 'Awwābun
وَشَدَدْنَا مُلْكَهُ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفَصْلَ الْخِطَابِ 20
Translation
And We strengthened his kingdom and We gave him [the] wisdom and decisive speech
Transliteration
Wa Shadadnā Mulkahu Wa 'Ātaynāhu Al-Ĥikmata Wa Faşla Al-Khiţābi
۞ وَهَلْ أَتَاكَ نَبَأُ الْخَصْمِ إِذْ تَسَوَّرُوا الْمِحْرَابَ 21
Translation
And has (there) come to you (the) news (of) the litigants when they climbed over the wall (of) the chamber
Transliteration
Wa Hal 'Atāka Naba'u Al-Khaşmi 'Idh Tasawwarū Al-Miĥrāba
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَىٰ دَاوُودَ فَفَزِعَ مِنْهُمْ ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ خَصْمَانِ بَغَىٰ بَعْضُنَا عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَنَا بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تُشْطِطْ وَاهْدِنَا إِلَىٰ سَوَاءِ الصِّرَاطِ 22
Translation
When they entered upon Dawood and he was afraid of them they said (Do) not fear (We are) two litigants has wronged one of us to another so judge between us in truth and (do) not be unjust and guide us to an even [the] path
Transliteration
'Idh Dakhalū `Alá Dāwūda Fafazi`a Minhum Qālū Lā Takhaf Khaşmāni Baghá Ba`đunā `Alá Ba`đin Fāĥkum Baynanā Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Lā Tushţiţ Wa Ahdinā 'Ilá Sawā'i Aş-Şirāţi
إِنَّ هَٰذَا أَخِي لَهُ تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ نَعْجَةً وَلِيَ نَعْجَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَقَالَ أَكْفِلْنِيهَا وَعَزَّنِي فِي الْخِطَابِ 23
Translation
Indeed this (is) my brother he has ninety-nine ninety-nine ewe(s) while I have ewe one so he said Entrust her to me and he overpowered me in [the] speech
Transliteration
'Inna Hādhā 'Akhī Lahu Tis`un Wa Tis`ūna Na`jatan Wa Liya Na`jatun Wāĥidatun Faqāla 'Akfilnīhā Wa `Azzanī Fī Al-Khiţābi
قَالَ لَقَدْ ظَلَمَكَ بِسُؤَالِ نَعْجَتِكَ إِلَىٰ نِعَاجِهِ ۖ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًا مِنَ الْخُلَطَاءِ لَيَبْغِي بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَقَلِيلٌ مَا هُمْ ۗ وَظَنَّ دَاوُودُ أَنَّمَا فَتَنَّاهُ فَاسْتَغْفَرَ رَبَّهُ وَخَرَّ رَاكِعًا وَأَنَابَ ۩ 24
Translation
He said Certainly he has wronged you by demanding your ewe to his ewes And indeed many of the partners certainly oppress one [on] another except those who believe and do righteous deeds and few (are) they (are) they And became certain Dawood that We (had) tried him and he asked forgiveness (of) his Lord and fell down bowing and turned in repentance
Transliteration
Qāla Laqad Žalamaka Bisu'uāli Na`jatika 'Ilá Ni`ājihi Wa 'Inna Kathīrāan Mina Al-Khulaţā'i Layabghī Ba`đuhum `Alá Ba`đin 'Illā Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Wa Qalīlun Mā Hum Wa Žanna Dāwūdu 'Annamā Fatannāhu Fāstaghfara Rabbahu Wa Kharra Rāki`āan Wa 'Anāba
فَغَفَرْنَا لَهُ ذَٰلِكَ ۖ وَإِنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ 25
Translation
So We forgave for him that And indeed for him with Us surely is a near access and a good place of return
Transliteration
FFaghafarnā Lahu Dhālika Wa 'Inna Lahu `Indanā Lazulfá Wa Ĥusna Ma'ābin
يَا دَاوُودُ إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاكَ خَلِيفَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ بِالْحَقِّ وَلَا تَتَّبِعِ الْهَوَىٰ فَيُضِلَّكَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَضِلُّونَ عَنْ سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ شَدِيدٌ بِمَا نَسُوا يَوْمَ الْحِسَابِ 26
Translation
O Dawood! Indeed We [We] have made you a vicegerent in the earth so judge between [the] men in truth and (do) not follow the desire for it will lead you stray from (the) way (of) Allah Indeed those who go astray from (the) way (of) Allah for them (is) a punishment severe because they forgot (the) Day (of) Account
Transliteration
Yā Dāwūdu 'Innā Ja`alnāka Khalīfatan Fī Al-'Arđi Fāĥkum Bayna An-Nāsi Bil-Ĥaqqi Wa Lā Tattabi`i Al-Hawá Fayuđillaka `An Sabīli Allāhi 'Inna Al-Ladhīna Yađillūna `An Sabīli Allāhi Lahum `Adhābun Shadīdun Bimā Nasū Yawma Al-Ĥisābi
وَمَا خَلَقْنَا السَّمَاءَ وَالْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا بَاطِلًا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ظَنُّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا ۚ فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنَ النَّارِ 27
Translation
And not We created the heaven and the earth and whatever (is) between them without purpose That (is the) assumption (of) those who disbelieve So woe to those who disbelieve from the Fire
Transliteration
Wa Mā Khalaqnā As-Samā'a Wa Al-'Arđa Wa Mā Baynahumā Bāţilāan Dhālika Žannu Al-Ladhīna Kafarū Fawaylun Lilladhīna Kafarū Mina An-Nāri
أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ كَالْمُفْسِدِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَمْ نَجْعَلُ الْمُتَّقِينَ كَالْفُجَّارِ 28
Translation
Or should We treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like those who spread corruption in the earth Or should We treat the pious like the wicked
Transliteration
'Am Naj`alu Al-Ladhīna 'Āmanū Wa `Amilū Aş-Şāliĥāti Kālmufsidīna Fī Al-'Arđi 'Am Naj`alu Al-Muttaqīna Kālfujjāri
كِتَابٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهُ إِلَيْكَ مُبَارَكٌ لِيَدَّبَّرُوا آيَاتِهِ وَلِيَتَذَكَّرَ أُولُو الْأَلْبَابِ 29
Translation
(This is) a Book We have revealed it to you blessed that they may ponder (over) its Verses and may be reminded those of understanding those of understanding
Transliteration
KKitābun 'Anzalnāhu 'Ilayka Mubārakun Liyaddabbarū 'Āyātihi Wa Liyatadhakkara 'Ūlū Al-'Albābi
وَوَهَبْنَا لِدَاوُودَ سُلَيْمَانَ ۚ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ 30
Translation
And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman an excellent slave Indeed he was one who repeatedly turned

Wa Wahabnā Lidāwūda Sulaymāna Ni`ma Al-`Abdu 'Innahu 'Awwābun
إِذْ عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْعَشِيِّ الصَّافِنَاتُ الْجِيَادُ 31
Translation
When were displayed to him in the afternoon excellent bred steeds excellent bred steeds
Transliteration
'Idh `Uriđa `Alayhi Bil-`Ashīyi Aş-Şāfinātu Al-Jiyādu
فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَحْبَبْتُ حُبَّ الْخَيْرِ عَنْ ذِكْرِ رَبِّي حَتَّىٰ تَوَارَتْ بِالْحِجَابِ 32
Translation
And he said Indeed I [I] preferred (the) love (of) the good for (the) remembrance (of) my Lord Until they were hidden in the veil;
Transliteration
FFaqāla 'Innī 'Aĥbabtu Ĥubba Al-Khayri `An Dhikri Rabbī Ĥattá Tawārat Bil-Ĥijābi
رُدُّوهَا عَلَيَّ ۖ فَطَفِقَ مَسْحًا بِالسُّوقِ وَالْأَعْنَاقِ 33
Translation
Return them to me Then he began to pass (his hand) over the legs and the necks
Transliteration
Ruddūhā `Alayya Faţafiqa Masĥāan Bis-Sūqi Wa Al-'A`nāqi
وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا سُلَيْمَانَ وَأَلْقَيْنَا عَلَىٰ كُرْسِيِّهِ جَسَدًا ثُمَّ أَنَابَ 34
Translation
And certainly We tried Sulaiman and We placed on his throne a body; then he turned
Transliteration
Wa Laqad Fatannā Sulaymāna Wa 'Alqaynā `Alá Kursīyihi Jasadāan Thumma 'Anāba
قَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَهَبْ لِي مُلْكًا لَا يَنْبَغِي لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ بَعْدِي ۖ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْوَهَّابُ 35
Translation
He said O my Lord Forgive me and grant me a kingdom not (will) belong to anyone after me after me Indeed, You [You] (are) the Bestower
Transliteration
Qāla Rabbi Aghfir Lī Wa Hab Lī Mulkāan Lā Yanbaghī Li'ĥadin Min Ba`dī 'Innaka 'Anta Al-Wahhābu
فَسَخَّرْنَا لَهُ الرِّيحَ تَجْرِي بِأَمْرِهِ رُخَاءً حَيْثُ أَصَابَ 36
Translation
Then We subjected to him the wind to flow by his command gently wherever he directed
Transliteration
Fasakhkharnā Lahu Ar-Rīĥa Tajrī Bi'amrihi Rukhā'an Ĥaythu 'Aşāba
وَالشَّيَاطِينَ كُلَّ بَنَّاءٍ وَغَوَّاصٍ 37
Translation
And the devils every builder and diver
Transliteration
WWa Ash-Shayāţīna Kulla Bannā'in Wa Ghawwāşin
وَآخَرِينَ مُقَرَّنِينَ فِي الْأَصْفَادِ 38
Translation
And others bound in chains
Transliteration
Wa 'Ākharīna Muqarranīna Fī Al-'Aşfādi
هَٰذَا عَطَاؤُنَا فَامْنُنْ أَوْ أَمْسِكْ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ 39
Translation
This (is) Our gift so grant or withhold without account
Transliteration
Hādhā `Aţā'uunā Fāmnun 'Aw 'Amsik Bighayri Ĥisābin
وَإِنَّ لَهُ عِنْدَنَا لَزُلْفَىٰ وَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ 40
Translation
And indeed for him with Us surely is a near access and a good place of return
Transliteration
Wa 'Inna Lahu `Indanā Lazulfá Wa Ĥusna Ma'ābin
وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ 41
Translation
And remember Our slave Ayyub when he called his Lord That [I] has touched me Shaitaan with distress and suffering
Transliteration
Wa Adhkur `Abdanā 'Ayyūba 'Idh Nādá Rabbahu 'Annī Massanī Ash-Shayţānu Binuşbin Wa `Adhābin
ارْكُضْ بِرِجْلِكَ ۖ هَٰذَا مُغْتَسَلٌ بَارِدٌ وَشَرَابٌ 42
Translation
Strike with your foot This (is a spring) of water to bathe cool and a drink
Transliteration
Arkuđ Birijlika Hādhā Mughtasalun Bāridun Wa Sharābun
وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ أَهْلَهُ وَمِثْلَهُمْ مَعَهُمْ رَحْمَةً مِنَّا وَذِكْرَىٰ لِأُولِي الْأَلْبَابِ 43
Translation
And We granted [to] him his family and a like of them with them a Mercy from Us and a Reminder for those of understanding for those of understanding
Transliteration
Wa Wahabnā Lahu 'Ahlahu Wa Mithlahum Ma`ahum Raĥmatan Minnā Wa Dhikrá Li'wlī Al-'Albābi
وَخُذْ بِيَدِكَ ضِغْثًا فَاضْرِبْ بِهِ وَلَا تَحْنَثْ ۗ إِنَّا وَجَدْنَاهُ صَابِرًا ۚ نِعْمَ الْعَبْدُ ۖ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ 44
Translation
And take in your hand a bunch and strike with it and (do) not break (your) oath Indeed We [We] found him patient an excellent slave Indeed he repeatedly turned
Transliteration
Wa Khudh Biyadika Đighthāan Fāđrib Bihi Wa Lā Taĥnath 'Innā Wa Jadnāhu Şābirāan Ni`ma Al-`Abdu 'Innahu 'Awwābun
وَاذْكُرْ عِبَادَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أُولِي الْأَيْدِي وَالْأَبْصَارِ 45
Translation
And remember Our slaves Ibrahim and Ishaq and Ya'qub possessors (of) strength and vision
Transliteration
Wa Adhkur `Ibādanā 'Ibrāhīma Wa 'Isĥāqa Wa Ya`qūba 'Ūlī Al-'Aydī Wa Al-'Abşāri
إِنَّا أَخْلَصْنَاهُمْ بِخَالِصَةٍ ذِكْرَى الدَّارِ 46
Translation
Indeed We [We] chose them for an exclusive (quality); remembrance (of) the Home
Transliteration
'Innā 'Akhlaşnāhum Bikhālişatin Dhikrá Ad-Dāri
وَإِنَّهُمْ عِنْدَنَا لَمِنَ الْمُصْطَفَيْنَ الْأَخْيَارِ 47
Translation
And indeed they to Us (are) from the chosen ones the best
Transliteration
Wa 'Innahum `Indanā Lamina Al-Muşţafayna Al-'Akhyāri
وَاذْكُرْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ وَالْيَسَعَ وَذَا الْكِفْلِ ۖ وَكُلٌّ مِنَ الْأَخْيَارِ 48
Translation
And remember Ismail and Al-Yasa and Dhul-kifl and Dhul-kifl and all (are) from the best
Transliteration
Wa Adhkur 'Ismā`īla Wa Al-Yasa`a Wa Dhā Al-Kifli Wa Kullun Mina Al-'Akhyāri
هَٰذَا ذِكْرٌ ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ 49
Translation
This (is) a Reminder And indeed for the righteous surely is a good place of return
Transliteration
Hādhā Dhikrun Wa 'Inna Lilmuttaqīna Laĥusna Ma'ābin
جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ مُفَتَّحَةً لَهُمُ الْأَبْوَابُ 50
Translation
Gardens (of) Eternity (will be) opened for them the gates
Transliteration
Jannāti `Adnin Mufattaĥatan Lahumu Al-'Abwābu
مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَشَرَابٍ 51
Translation
Reclining therein they will call therein for fruit many and drink
Transliteration
MMuttaki'īna Fīhā Yad`ūna Fīhā Bifākihatin Kathīratin Wa Sharābin
۞ وَعِنْدَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ 52
Translation
And with them (will be) companions of modest gaze (will be) companions of modest gaze well-matched
Transliteration
Wa `Indahum Qāşirātu Aţ-Ţarfi 'Atrābun
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ 53
Translation
This (is) what you are promised for (the) Day (of) Account
Transliteration
Hādhā Mā Tū`adūna Liyawmi Al-Ĥisābi
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهُ مِنْ نَفَادٍ 54
Translation
Indeed this (is) surely Our provision; not for it any depletion
Transliteration
'Inna Hādhā Larizqunā Mā Lahu Min Nafādin
هَٰذَا ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَآبٍ 55
Translation
This (is so)! And indeed for the transgressors surely (is) an evil place of return
Transliteration
Hādhā Wa 'Inna Lilţţāghīna Lasharra Ma'ābin
جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ 56
Translation
Hell; they will burn therein and wretched is the resting place
Transliteration
Jahannama Yaşlawnahā Fabi'sa Al-Mihādu
هَٰذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ 57
Translation
This (is so)! Then let them taste it boiling fluid and purulence
Transliteration
Hādhā Falyadhūqūhu Ĥamīmun Wa Ghassāqun
وَآخَرُ مِنْ شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ 58
Translation
And other of its type (of various) kinds
Transliteration
Wa 'Ākharu Min Shaklihi 'Azwājun
هَٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُقْتَحِمٌ مَعَكُمْ ۖ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُو النَّارِ 59
Translation
This (is) a company bursting in with you No welcome for them Indeed they (will) burn (in) the Fire
Transliteration
Hādhā Fawjun Muqtaĥimun Ma`akum Lā Marĥabāan Bihim 'Innahum Şālū An-Nāri
قَالُوا بَلْ أَنْتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِكُمْ ۖ أَنْتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ 60
Translation
They say Nay! You - no welcome for you You brought this upon us So wretched is the settlement
Transliteration
Qālū Bal 'Antum Lā Marĥabāan Bikum 'Antum Qaddamtumūhu Lanā Fabi'sa Al-Qarāru
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا مَنْ قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِي النَّارِ 61
Translation
They will say Our Lord whoever brought upon us this; increase for him a punishment double in the Fire
Transliteration
Qālū Rabbanā Man Qaddama Lanā Hādhā Fazid/hu `Adhābāan Đi`fāan Fī An-Nāri
وَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُمْ مِنَ الْأَشْرَارِ 62
Translation
And they will say What (is) for us not we see men we used (to) count them among the bad ones
Transliteration
Wa Qālū Mā Lanā Lā Nará Rijālāan Kunnā Na`udduhum Mina Al-'Ashrār
أَتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْأَبْصَارُ 63
Translation
Did we take them (in) ridicule or has turned away from them the vision
Transliteration
'Āttakhadhnāhum Sikhrīyāan 'Am Zāghat `Anhumu Al-'Abşāru
إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ 64
Translation
Indeed that (is) surely (the) truth - (the) quarreling (of the) people (of) the Fire
Transliteration
'Inna Dhālika Laĥaqqun Takhāşumu 'Ahli An-Nāri
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَنَا مُنْذِرٌ ۖ وَمَا مِنْ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْوَاحِدُ الْقَهَّارُ 65
Translation
Say Only I am a warner and not (is there) any god except Allah the One the Irresistible
Transliteration
Qul 'Innamā 'Anā Mundhirun Wa Mā Min 'Ilahin 'Illā Allāhu Al-Wāĥidu Al-Qahhāru
رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ 66
Translation
Lord (of) the heavens and the earth and whatever (is) between them the All-Mighty the Oft-Forgiving
Transliteration
Rabbu As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Baynahumā Al-`Azīzu Al-Ghaffāru
قُلْ هُوَ نَبَأٌ عَظِيمٌ 67
Translation
Say It (is) a news great
Transliteration
Qul Huwa Naba'un `Ažīmun
أَنْتُمْ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضُونَ 68
Translation
You from it turn away
Transliteration
'Antum `Anhu Mu`riđūna
مَا كَانَ لِيَ مِنْ عِلْمٍ بِالْمَلَإِ الْأَعْلَىٰ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ 69
Translation
Not is for me any knowledge (of) the chiefs the exalted when they were disputing
Transliteration
Mā Kāna Liya Min `Ilmin Bil-Mala'i Al-'A`lá 'Idh Yakhtaşimūna
إِنْ يُوحَىٰ إِلَيَّ إِلَّا أَنَّمَا أَنَا نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ 70
Translation
Not has been revealed to me except that only I am a warner clear
Transliteration
'In Yūĥá 'Ilayya 'Illā 'Annamā 'Anā Nadhīrun Mubīnun
إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِنْ طِينٍ 71
Translation
When said your Lord to the Angels Indeed I Am going to create a human being from clay
Transliteration
'Idh Qāla Rabbuka Lilmalā'ikati 'Innī Khāliqun Basharāan Min Ţīnin
فَإِذَا سَوَّيْتُهُ وَنَفَخْتُ فِيهِ مِنْ رُوحِي فَقَعُوا لَهُ سَاجِدِينَ 72
Translation
So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My spirit then fall down to him prostrating
Transliteration
Fa'idhā Sawwaytuhu Wa Nafakhtu Fīhi Min Rūĥī Faqa`ū Lahu Sājidīna
فَسَجَدَ الْمَلَائِكَةُ كُلُّهُمْ أَجْمَعُونَ 73
Translation
So prostrated the Angels all of them together
Transliteration
Fasajada Al-Malā'ikatu Kulluhum 'Ajma`ūna
إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ اسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ الْكَافِرِينَ 74
Translation
Except Iblis; he was arrogant and became of the disbelievers
Transliteration
'Illā 'Iblīsa Astakbara Wa Kāna Mina Al-Kāfirīna
قَالَ يَا إِبْلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَنْ تَسْجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقْتُ بِيَدَيَّ ۖ أَسْتَكْبَرْتَ أَمْ كُنْتَ مِنَ الْعَالِينَ 75
Translation
He said O Iblis! What prevented you that you (should) prostrate to (one) whom I created with My Hands Are you arrogant or are you of the exalted ones
Transliteration
Qāla Yā 'Iblīsu Mā Mana`aka 'An Tasjuda Limā Khalaqtu Biyadayya 'Āstakbarta 'Am Kunta Mina Al-`Ālīna
قَالَ أَنَا خَيْرٌ مِنْهُ ۖ خَلَقْتَنِي مِنْ نَارٍ وَخَلَقْتَهُ مِنْ طِينٍ 76
Translation
He said I am better than him You created me from fire and You created him from clay
Transliteration
Qāla 'Anā Khayrun Minhu Khalaqtanī Min Nārin Wa Khalaqtahu Min Ţīnin
قَالَ فَاخْرُجْ مِنْهَا فَإِنَّكَ رَجِيمٌ 77
Translation
He said Then get out of it for indeed you (are) accursed
Transliteration
Qāla Fākhruj Minhā Fa'innaka Rajīmun
وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكَ لَعْنَتِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ 78
Translation
And indeed upon you (is) My curse until (the) Day (of) Judgment
Transliteration
Wa 'Inna `Alayka La`natī 'Ilá Yawmi Ad-Dīni
قَالَ رَبِّ فَأَنْظِرْنِي إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ 79
Translation
He said My Lord! Then give me respite until (the) Day they are resurrected
Transliteration
Qāla Rabbi Fa'anžirnī 'Ilá Yawmi Yub`athūna
قَالَ فَإِنَّكَ مِنَ الْمُنْظَرِينَ 80
Translation
He said Then indeed you (are) of those given respite
Transliteration
Qāla Fa'innaka Mina Al-Munžarīna
إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ الْوَقْتِ الْمَعْلُومِ 81
Translation
Until (the) Day (of) the time well-known
Transliteration
'Ilá Yawmi Al-Waqti Al-Ma`lūmi
قَالَ فَبِعِزَّتِكَ لَأُغْوِيَنَّهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ 82
Translation
He said Then by Your might I will surely mislead them all
Transliteration
Qāla Fabi`izzatika La'ughwiyannahum 'Ajma`īna
إِلَّا عِبَادَكَ مِنْهُمُ الْمُخْلَصِينَ 83
Translation
Except Your slaves among them the chosen ones
Transliteration
'Illā `Ibādaka Minhumu Al-Mukhlaşīna
قَالَ فَالْحَقُّ وَالْحَقَّ أَقُولُ 84
Translation
He said Then (it is) the truth and the truth I say
Transliteration
Qāla Fālĥaqqu Wa Al-Ĥaqqa 'Aqūlu
لَأَمْلَأَنَّ جَهَنَّمَ مِنْكَ وَمِمَّنْ تَبِعَكَ مِنْهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ 85
Translation
Surely I will fill Hell with you and those who follow you among them all
Transliteration
La'amla'anna Jahannama Minka Wa Mimman Tabi`aka Minhum 'Ajma`īna
قُلْ مَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُتَكَلِّفِينَ 86
Translation
Say Not I ask of you for it any payment and not I am of the ones who pretend
Transliteration
Qul Mā 'As'alukum `Alayhi Min 'Ajrin Wa Mā 'Anā Mina Al-Mutakallifīna
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِلْعَالَمِينَ 87
Translation
Not it (is) except a Reminder to the worlds
Transliteration
'In Huwa 'Illā Dhikrun Lil`ālamīna
وَلَتَعْلَمُنَّ نَبَأَهُ بَعْدَ حِينٍ 88
Translation
And surely you will know its information after a time
Transliteration
Wa Lata`lamunna Naba'ahu Ba`da Ĥīnin
