Adh-Dhāriyāt The Winnowing Winds
﷽
وَالذَّارِيَاتِ ذَرْوًا 1
Translation
By those scattering dispersing
Transliteration
WWa Adh-Dhāriyāti Dharwan
فَالْحَامِلَاتِ وِقْرًا 2
Translation
And those carrying a load
Transliteration
Fālĥāmilāti Wiqrāan
فَالْجَارِيَاتِ يُسْرًا 3
Translation
And those sailing (with) ease
Transliteration
Fāljāriyāti Yusrāan
فَالْمُقَسِّمَاتِ أَمْرًا 4
Translation
And those distributing Command
Transliteration
FFālmuqassimāti 'Amrāan
إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَصَادِقٌ 5
Translation
Indeed what you are promised (is) surely true
Transliteration
'Innamā Tū`adūna Laşādiqun
وَإِنَّ الدِّينَ لَوَاقِعٌ 6
Translation
And indeed the Judgment (is) surely to occur
Transliteration
Wa 'Inna Ad-Dīna Lawāqi`un
وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْحُبُكِ 7
Translation
By the heaven full of pathways
Transliteration
WWa As-Samā'i Dhāti Al-Ĥubuki
إِنَّكُمْ لَفِي قَوْلٍ مُخْتَلِفٍ 8
Translation
Indeed you (are) surely in a speech differing
Transliteration
'Innakum Lafī Qawlin Mukhtalifin
يُؤْفَكُ عَنْهُ مَنْ أُفِكَ 9
Translation
Deluded away from it (is he) who is deluded
Transliteration
YYu'ufaku `Anhu Man 'Ufika
قُتِلَ الْخَرَّاصُونَ 10
Translation
Cursed be the liars
Transliteration
Qutila Al-Kharrāşūna
الَّذِينَ هُمْ فِي غَمْرَةٍ سَاهُونَ 11
Translation
Those who [they] (are) in flood (of) heedlessness
Transliteration
Al-Ladhīna Hum Fī Ghamratin Sāhūna
يَسْأَلُونَ أَيَّانَ يَوْمُ الدِّينِ 12
Translation
They ask When (is the) Day (of) Judgment
Transliteration
Yas'alūna 'Ayyāna Yawmu Ad-Dīni
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى النَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ 13
Translation
A Day they over the Fire will be tried
Transliteration
Yawma Hum `Alá An-Nāri Yuftanūna
ذُوقُوا فِتْنَتَكُمْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي كُنْتُمْ بِهِ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ 14
Translation
Taste your trial This (is) what you were for it seeking to hasten
Transliteration
Dhūqū Fitnatakum Hādhā Al-Ladhī Kuntum Bihi Tasta`jilūna
إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعُيُونٍ 15
Translation
Indeed the righteous (will be) in Gardens and springs
Transliteration
'Inna Al-Muttaqīna Fī Jannātin Wa `Uyūnin
آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُحْسِنِينَ 16
Translation
Taking what their Lord has given them their Lord has given them Indeed, they were before that good-doers
Transliteration
'Ākhidhīna Mā 'Ātāhum Rabbuhum 'Innahum Kānū Qabla Dhālika Muĥsinīna
كَانُوا قَلِيلًا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ مَا يَهْجَعُونَ 17
Translation
They used (to) little of the night [what] sleep
Transliteration
Kānū Qalīlāan Mina Al-Layli Mā Yahja`ūna
وَبِالْأَسْحَارِ هُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ 18
Translation
And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness
Transliteration
WWa Bil-'Asĥāri Hum Yastaghfirūna
وَفِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ 19
Translation
And in their wealth (was the) right (of) those who asked and the deprived
Transliteration
Wa Fī 'Amwālihim Ĥaqqun Lilssā'ili Wa Al-Maĥrūmi
وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ 20
Translation
And in the earth (are) signs for those who are certain
Transliteration
Wa Fī Al-'Arđi 'Āyātun Lilmūqinīna
وَفِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ ۚ أَفَلَا تُبْصِرُونَ 21
Translation
And in yourselves Then will not you see
Transliteration
Wa Fī 'Anfusikum 'Afalā Tubşirūna
وَفِي السَّمَاءِ رِزْقُكُمْ وَمَا تُوعَدُونَ 22
Translation
And in the heaven (is) your provision and what you are promised
Transliteration
Wa Fī As-Samā'i Rizqukum Wa Mā Tū`adūna
فَوَرَبِّ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُ لَحَقٌّ مِثْلَ مَا أَنَّكُمْ تَنْطِقُونَ 23
Translation
Then by (the) Lord (of) the heaven and the earth indeed it (is) surely (the) truth (just) as [what] you speak
Transliteration
FFawarabbi As-Samā'i Wa Al-'Arđi 'Innahu Laĥaqqun Mithla Mā 'Annakum Tanţiqūna
هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ 24
Translation
Has reached you (the) narration (of the) guests (of) Ibrahim the honored
Transliteration
Hal 'Atāka Ĥadīthu Đayfi 'Ibrāhīma Al-Mukramīna
إِذْ دَخَلُوا عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا سَلَامًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَامٌ قَوْمٌ مُنْكَرُونَ 25
Translation
When they entered upon him and said Peace He said Peace a people unknown
Transliteration
'Idh Dakhalū `Alayhi Faqālū Salāmāan Qāla Salāmun Qawmun Munkarūna
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ فَجَاءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ 26
Translation
Then he went to his household and came with a calf fat
Transliteration
Farāgha 'Ilá 'Ahlihi Fajā'a Bi`ijlin Samīnin
فَقَرَّبَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ 27
Translation
And he placed it near [to] them he said Will not you eat
Transliteration
FFaqarrabahu 'Ilayhim Qāla 'Alā Ta'kulūna
فَأَوْجَسَ مِنْهُمْ خِيفَةً ۖ قَالُوا لَا تَخَفْ ۖ وَبَشَّرُوهُ بِغُلَامٍ عَلِيمٍ 28
Translation
Then he felt from them a fear They said (Do) not fear and they gave him glad tidings of a son learned
Transliteration
Fa'awjasa Minhum Khīfatan Qālū Lā Takhaf Wa Bashsharūhu Bighulāmin `Alīmin
فَأَقْبَلَتِ امْرَأَتُهُ فِي صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ 29
Translation
Then came forward his wife with a loud voice and struck her face and she said An old woman barren!
Transliteration
Fa'aqbalati Amra'atuhu Fī Şarratin Faşakkat Wajhahā Wa Qālat `Ajūzun `Aqīmun
قَالُوا كَذَٰلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ ۖ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْحَكِيمُ الْعَلِيمُ 30
Translation
They said Thus said your Lord Indeed He [He] (is) the All-Wise the All-Knower
Transliteration
Qālū Kadhāliki Qāla Rabbuki 'Innahu Huwa Al-Ĥakīmu Al-`Alīmu
۞ قَالَ فَمَا خَطْبُكُمْ أَيُّهَا الْمُرْسَلُونَ 31
Translation
He said Then what (is) your mission O messengers O messengers
Transliteration
Qāla Famā Khaţbukum 'Ayyuhā Al-Mursalūna
قَالُوا إِنَّا أُرْسِلْنَا إِلَىٰ قَوْمٍ مُجْرِمِينَ 32
Translation
They said Indeed we [we] have been sent to a people criminal
Transliteration
Qālū 'Innā 'Ursilnā 'Ilá Qawmin Mujrimīna
لِنُرْسِلَ عَلَيْهِمْ حِجَارَةً مِنْ طِينٍ 33
Translation
That we may send down upon them stones of clay
Transliteration
Linursila `Alayhim Ĥijāratan Min Ţīnin
مُسَوَّمَةً عِنْدَ رَبِّكَ لِلْمُسْرِفِينَ 34
Translation
Marked by your Lord by your Lord for the transgressors
Transliteration
MMusawwamatan `Inda Rabbika Lilmusrifīna
فَأَخْرَجْنَا مَنْ كَانَ فِيهَا مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ 35
Translation
Then We brought out (those) who were therein of the believers
Transliteration
Fa'akhrajnā Man Kāna Fīhā Mina Al-Mu'uminīna
فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهَا غَيْرَ بَيْتٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ 36
Translation
But not We found therein other than a house of the Muslims
Transliteration
Famā Wajadnā Fīhā Ghayra Baytin Mina Al-Muslimīna
وَتَرَكْنَا فِيهَا آيَةً لِلَّذِينَ يَخَافُونَ الْعَذَابَ الْأَلِيمَ 37
Translation
And We left therein a Sign for those who fear the punishment the painful
Transliteration
Wa Taraknā Fīhā 'Āyatan Lilladhīna Yakhāfūna Al-`Adhāba Al-'Alīma
وَفِي مُوسَىٰ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَاهُ إِلَىٰ فِرْعَوْنَ بِسُلْطَانٍ مُبِينٍ 38
Translation
And in Musa when We sent him to Firaun with an authority clear
Transliteration
Wa Fī Mūsá 'Idh 'Arsalnāhu 'Ilá Fir`awna Bisulţānin Mubīnin
فَتَوَلَّىٰ بِرُكْنِهِ وَقَالَ سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ 39
Translation
But he turned away with his supporters and said A magician or a madman
Transliteration
FFatawallá Biruknihi Wa Qāla Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun
فَأَخَذْنَاهُ وَجُنُودَهُ فَنَبَذْنَاهُمْ فِي الْيَمِّ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌ 40
Translation
So We took him and his hosts and threw them into the sea while he (was) blameworthy
Transliteration
Fa'akhadhnāhu Wa Junūdahu Fanabadhnāhum Fī Al-Yammi Wa Huwa Mulīmun
وَفِي عَادٍ إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمُ الرِّيحَ الْعَقِيمَ 41
Translation
And in Aad when We sent against them the wind the barren
Transliteration
Wa Fī `Ādin 'Idh 'Arsalnā `Alayhimu Ar-Rīĥa Al-`Aqīma
مَا تَذَرُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ أَتَتْ عَلَيْهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَتْهُ كَالرَّمِيمِ 42
Translation
Not it left any thing it came upon it but it made it like disintegrated ruins
Transliteration
Mā Tadharu Min Shay'in 'Atat `Alayhi 'Illā Ja`alat/hu Kālrramīmi
وَفِي ثَمُودَ إِذْ قِيلَ لَهُمْ تَمَتَّعُوا حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ 43
Translation
And in Thamud when was said to them Enjoy (yourselves) for a time
Transliteration
Wa Fī Thamūda 'Idh Qīla Lahum Tamatta`ū Ĥattá Ĥīnin
فَعَتَوْا عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ وَهُمْ يَنْظُرُونَ 44
Translation
But they rebelled against (the) Command (of) their Lord so seized them the thunderbolt while they were looking
Transliteration
FFa`ataw `An 'Amri Rabbihim Fa'akhadhat/humu Aş-Şā`iqatu Wa Hum Yanžurūna
فَمَا اسْتَطَاعُوا مِنْ قِيَامٍ وَمَا كَانُوا مُنْتَصِرِينَ 45
Translation
Then not they were able to stand and not they could help themselves
Transliteration
Famā Astaţā`ū Min Qiyāmin Wa Mā Kānū Muntaşirīna
وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍ مِنْ قَبْلُ ۖ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمًا فَاسِقِينَ 46
Translation
And (the) people (of) Nuh before before indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient
Transliteration
Wa Qawma Nūĥin Min Qablu 'Innahum Kānū Qawmāan Fāsiqīna
وَالسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاهَا بِأَيْدٍ وَإِنَّا لَمُوسِعُونَ 47
Translation
And the Heaven We constructed it with strength and indeed We (are) surely (its) Expanders
Transliteration
WWa As-Samā'a Banaynāhā Bi'ayydin Wa 'Innā Lamūsi`ūna
وَالْأَرْضَ فَرَشْنَاهَا فَنِعْمَ الْمَاهِدُونَ 48
Translation
And the earth We have spread it how excellent (are) the Spreaders
Transliteration
WWa Al-'Arđa Farashnāhā Fani`ma Al-Māhidūna
وَمِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ خَلَقْنَا زَوْجَيْنِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ 49
Translation
And of every thing We have created pairs so that you may remember
Transliteration
Wa Min Kulli Shay'in Khalaqnā Zawjayni La`allakum Tadhakkarūna
فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ 50
Translation
So flee to Allah indeed I am to you from Him a warner clear
Transliteration
FFafirrū 'Ilá Allāhi 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun
وَلَا تَجْعَلُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا آخَرَ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُمْ مِنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُبِينٌ 51
Translation
And (do) not make with Allah god another Indeed I am to you from Him a warner clear
Transliteration
Wa Lā Taj`alū Ma`a Allāhi 'Ilahāan 'Ākhara 'Innī Lakum Minhu Nadhīrun Mubīnun
كَذَٰلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ 52
Translation
Likewise not came (to) those before them before them any Messenger but they said A magician or a madman
Transliteration
Kadhālika Mā 'Atá Al-Ladhīna Min Qablihim Min Rasūlin 'Illā Qālū Sāĥirun 'Aw Majnūnun
أَتَوَاصَوْا بِهِ ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ 53
Translation
Have they transmitted it to them Have they transmitted it to them Nay they (are) a people transgressing
Transliteration
'Atawāşaw Bihi Bal Hum Qawmun Ţāghūna
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ فَمَا أَنْتَ بِمَلُومٍ 54
Translation
So turn away from them for not you (are) to be blamed
Transliteration
Fatawalla `Anhum Famā 'Anta Bimalūmin
وَذَكِّرْ فَإِنَّ الذِّكْرَىٰ تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ 55
Translation
And remind for indeed the reminder benefits the believers
Transliteration
Wa Dhakkir Fa'inna Adh-Dhikrá Tanfa`u Al-Mu'uminīna
وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنْسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ 56
Translation
And not I have created the jinn and the mankind except that they worship Me
Transliteration
Wa Mā Khalaqtu Al-Jinna Wa Al-'Insa 'Illā Liya`budūni
مَا أُرِيدُ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ رِزْقٍ وَمَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ يُطْعِمُونِ 57
Translation
Not I want from them any provision and not I want that they (should) feed Me
Transliteration
Mā 'Urīdu Minhum Min Rizqin Wa Mā 'Urīdu 'An Yuţ`imūni
إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الرَّزَّاقُ ذُو الْقُوَّةِ الْمَتِينُ 58
Translation
Indeed Allah He (is) the All-Provider Possessor (of) Power the Strong
Transliteration
'Inna Allāha Huwa Ar-Razzāqu Dhū Al-Qūwati Al-Matīnu
فَإِنَّ لِلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا ذَنُوبًا مِثْلَ ذَنُوبِ أَصْحَابِهِمْ فَلَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونِ 59
Translation
So indeed for those who do wrong (is) a portion like (the) portion (of) their companions so let them not ask Me to hasten so let them not ask Me to hasten
Transliteration
Fa'inna Lilladhīna Žalamū Dhanūbāan Mithla Dhanūbi 'Aşĥābihim Falā Yasta`jilūni
فَوَيْلٌ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ يَوْمِهِمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ 60
Translation
Then woe to those who disbelieve from their Day which they are promised
Transliteration
Fawaylun Lilladhīna Kafarū Min Yawmihimu Al-Ladhī Yū`adūna
