Al-Ĥāqqah The Reality

الْحَاقَّةُ 1 
Translation
The Inevitable Reality!
Transliteration
AAl-Ĥāqqahu
مَا الْحَاقَّةُ 2 
Translation
What (is) the Inevitable Reality
Transliteration
Mā Al-Ĥāqqahu
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحَاقَّةُ 3 
Translation
And what will make you know what (is) the Inevitable Reality
Transliteration
Wa Mā 'Adrāka Mā Al-Ĥāqqahu
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌ بِالْقَارِعَةِ 4 
Translation
Denied Thamud and Aad the Striking Calamity
Transliteration
Kadhdhabat Thamūdu Wa `Ādun Bil-Qāri`ahi
فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِالطَّاغِيَةِ 5 
Translation
So as for Thamud they were destroyed by the overpowering (blast)
Transliteration
Fa'ammā Thamūdu Fa'uhlikū Biţ-Ţāghiyahi
وَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَأُهْلِكُوا بِرِيحٍ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍ 6 
Translation
And as for Aad they were destroyed by a wind screaming violent
Transliteration
Wa 'Ammā `Ādun Fa'uhlikū Birīĥin Şarşarin `Ātiyahin
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًا فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍ 7 
Translation
Which He imposed upon them (for) seven nights and eight days (in) succession so you would see the people therein fallen as if they were trunks (of) date-palms hollow
Transliteration
Sakhkharahā `Alayhim Sab`a Layālin Wa Thamāniyata 'Ayyāmin Ĥusūmāan Fatará Al-Qawma Fīhā Şar`á Ka'annahum 'A`jāzu Nakhlin Khāwiyahin
فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُمْ مِنْ بَاقِيَةٍ 8 
Translation
Then do you see of them any remains
Transliteration
Fahal Tará Lahum Min Bāqiyahin
وَجَاءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَنْ قَبْلَهُ وَالْمُؤْتَفِكَاتُ بِالْخَاطِئَةِ 9 
Translation
And came Firaun and (those) before him and the overturned cities with sin
Transliteration
Wa Jā'a Fir`awnu Wa Man Qablahu Wa Al-Mu'utafikātu Bil-Khāţi'ahi
فَعَصَوْا رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةً رَابِيَةً 10 
Translation
And they disobeyed (the) Messenger (of) their Lord so He seized them (with) a seizure exceeding
Transliteration
FFa`aşaw Rasūla Rabbihim Fa'akhadhahum 'Akhdhatan Rābiyahan
إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَى الْمَاءُ حَمَلْنَاكُمْ فِي الْجَارِيَةِ 11 
Translation
Indeed We when overflowed the water We carried you in the sailing (ship)
Transliteration
'Innā Lammā Ţaghá Al-Mā'u Ĥamalnākum Fī Al-Jāriyahi
لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةً وَتَعِيَهَا أُذُنٌ وَاعِيَةٌ 12 
Translation
That We might make it for you a reminder and would be conscious of it an ear conscious
Transliteration
LLinaj`alahā Lakum Tadhkiratan Wa Ta`iyahā 'Udhunun Wā`iyahun
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ 13 
Translation
Then when is blown in the trumpet - a blast single
Transliteration
Fa'idhā Nufikha Fī Aş-Şūri Nafkhatun Wāĥidahun
وَحُمِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَالْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةً وَاحِدَةً 14 
Translation
And are lifted the earth and the mountains and crushed (with) a crushing single
Transliteration
Wa Ĥumilati Al-'Arđu Wa Al-Jibālu Fadukkatā Dakkatan Wāĥidahan
فَيَوْمَئِذٍ وَقَعَتِ الْوَاقِعَةُ 15 
Translation
Then (on) that Day will occur the Occurrence
Transliteration
FFayawma'idhin Waqa`ati Al-Wāqi`ahu
وَانْشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ وَاهِيَةٌ 16 
Translation
And will split the heaven so it (is on) that Day frail
Transliteration
Wa Anshaqqati As-Samā'u Fahiya Yawma'idhin Wa Ahiyahun
وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰ أَرْجَائِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ 17 
Translation
And the Angels (will be) on its edges and will bear (the) Throne (of) your Lord above them that Day eight
Transliteration
WWa Al-Malaku `Alá 'Arjā'ihā Wa Yaĥmilu `Arsha Rabbika Fawqahum Yawma'idhin Thamāniyahun
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنْكُمْ خَافِيَةٌ 18 
Translation
That Day you will be exhibited not will be hidden among you any secret
Transliteration
YYawma'idhin Tu`rađūna Lā Takhfá Minkum Khāfiyahun
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ فَيَقُولُ هَاؤُمُ اقْرَءُوا كِتَابِيَهْ 19 
Translation
Then as for (him) who is given his record in his right hand will say Here read my record!
Transliteration
Fa'ammā Man 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Biyamīnihi Fayaqūlu Hā'uum Aqra'ū Kitābī
إِنِّي ظَنَنْتُ أَنِّي مُلَاقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ 20 
Translation
Indeed I was certain that I (will) meet my account
Transliteration
'Innī Žanantu 'Annī Mulāqin Ĥisābiyah
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ 21 
Translation
So he (will be) in a life pleasant
Transliteration
Fahuwa Fī `Īshatin Rāđiyahin
فِي جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍ 22 
Translation
In a Garden elevated
Transliteration
Fī Jannatin `Āliyahin
قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌ 23 
Translation
Its clusters of fruits hanging near
Transliteration
Quţūfuhā Dāniyahun
كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِي الْأَيَّامِ الْخَالِيَةِ 24 
Translation
Eat and drink (in) satisfaction for what you sent before you in the days past
Transliteration
Kulū Wa Ashrabū Hanī'āan Bimā 'Aslaftum Fī Al-'Ayyāmi Al-Khāliyahi
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِشِمَالِهِ فَيَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَابِيَهْ 25 
Translation
But as for (him) who is given his record in his left hand will say O! I wish not I had been given my record
Transliteration
Wa 'Ammā Man 'Ūtiya Kitābahu Bishimālihi Fayaqūlu Yā Laytanī Lam 'Ūta Kitābīh
وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ 26 
Translation
And not I had known what (is) my account
Transliteration
Wa Lam 'Adri Mā Ĥisābīh
يَا لَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ الْقَاضِيَةَ 27 
Translation
O! I wish it had been the end
Transliteration
Yā Laytahā Kānati Al-Qāđiyaha
مَا أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّي مَالِيَهْ ۜ 28 
Translation
Not has availed me my wealth
Transliteration
Mā 'Aghná `Annī Mālīh
هَلَكَ عَنِّي سُلْطَانِيَهْ 29 
Translation
Is gone from me my authority
Transliteration
Halaka `Annī Sulţānīh
خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ 30 
Translation
Seize him and shackle him
Transliteration
Khudhūhu Faghullūhu
ثُمَّ الْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ 31 
Translation
Then (into) the Hellfire burn him
Transliteration
TThumma Al-Jaĥīma Şallūhu
ثُمَّ فِي سِلْسِلَةٍ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًا فَاسْلُكُوهُ 32 
Translation
Then into a chain its length (is) seventy cubits insert him
Transliteration
TThumma Fī Silsilatin Dhar`uhā Sab`ūna Dhirā`āan Fāslukūhu
إِنَّهُ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ 33 
Translation
Indeed, he (did) not believe in Allah the Most Great
Transliteration
'Innahu Kāna Lā Yu'uminu Billāhi Al-`Ažīmi
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ الْمِسْكِينِ 34 
Translation
And (did) not feel the urge on (the) feeding (of) the poor
Transliteration
Wa Lā Yaĥuđđu `Alá Ţa`āmi Al-Miskīni
فَلَيْسَ لَهُ الْيَوْمَ هَاهُنَا حَمِيمٌ 35 
Translation
So not for him today here any devoted friend
Transliteration
Falaysa Lahu Al-Yawma Hāhunā Ĥamīmun
وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍ 36 
Translation
And not any food except from (the) discharge of wounds
Transliteration
Wa Lā Ţa`āmun 'Illā Min Ghislīnin
لَا يَأْكُلُهُ إِلَّا الْخَاطِئُونَ 37 
Translation
Not will eat it except the sinners
Transliteration
Lā Ya'kuluhu 'Illā Al-Khāţi'ūna
فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ 38 
Translation
But nay! I swear by what you see
Transliteration
Falā 'Uqsimu Bimā Tubşirūna
وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ 39 
Translation
And what not you see
Transliteration
Wa Mā Lā Tubşirūna
إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ 40 
Translation
Indeed it (is) surely (the) Word (of) a Messenger noble
Transliteration
'Innahu Laqawlu Rasūlin Karīmin
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تُؤْمِنُونَ 41 
Translation
And not it (is the) word (of) a poet; little (is) what you believe!
Transliteration
Wa Mā Huwa Biqawli Shā`irin Qalīlāan Mā Tu'uminūna
وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَا تَذَكَّرُونَ 42 
Translation
And not (it is the) word (of) a soothsayer; little (is) what you remember
Transliteration
Wa Lā Biqawli Kāhinin Qalīlāan Mā Tadhakkarūna
تَنْزِيلٌ مِنْ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ 43 
Translation
(It is) a revelation from (the) Lord (of) the worlds
Transliteration
Tanzīlun Min Rabbi Al-`Ālamīna
وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ الْأَقَاوِيلِ 44 
Translation
And if he (had) fabricated against Us some sayings
Transliteration
Wa Law Taqawwala `Alaynā Ba`đa Al-'Aqāwīli
لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِالْيَمِينِ 45 
Translation
Certainly We (would) have seized him by the right hand;
Transliteration
La'akhadhnā Minhu Bil-Yamīni
ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ الْوَتِينَ 46 
Translation
Then certainly We (would) have cut off from him the aorta
Transliteration
TThumma Laqaţa`nā Minhu Al-Watīna
فَمَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَاجِزِينَ 47 
Translation
And not from you any one [from him] (could) prevent
Transliteration
Famā Minkum Min 'Aĥadin `Anhu Ĥājizīna
وَإِنَّهُ لَتَذْكِرَةٌ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ 48 
Translation
And indeed it (is) surely a reminder for the Allah-fearing
Transliteration
Wa 'Innahu Latadhkiratun Lilmuttaqīna
وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنْكُمْ مُكَذِّبِينَ 49 
Translation
And indeed We surely know that among you (are) deniers
Transliteration
Wa 'Innā Lana`lamu 'Anna Minkum Mukadhdhibīna
وَإِنَّهُ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ 50 
Translation
And indeed it (is) surely a regret upon the disbelievers
Transliteration
Wa 'Innahu Laĥasratun `Alá Al-Kāfirīna
وَإِنَّهُ لَحَقُّ الْيَقِينِ 51 
Translation
And indeed it (is) surely (the) truth (of) certainty
Transliteration
Wa 'Innahu Laĥaqqu Al-Yaqīni
فَسَبِّحْ بِاسْمِ رَبِّكَ الْعَظِيمِ 52 
Translation
So glorify (the) name (of) your Lord the Most Great
