Al-'Insān The Man

﷽
هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى الْإِنْسَانِ حِينٌ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْئًا مَذْكُورًا 1 
Translation
Has (there) come upon man a period of time not he was a thing mentioned
Transliteration
Hal 'Atá `Alá Al-'Insāni Ĥīnun Mina Ad-Dahri Lam Yakun Shay'āan Madhkūrāan
إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ مِنْ نُطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَاهُ سَمِيعًا بَصِيرًا 2 
Translation
Indeed We [We] created man from a sperm-drop mixture (that) We test him; so We made (for) him hearing and sight
Transliteration
'Innā Khalaqnā Al-'Insāna Min Nuţfatin 'Amshājin Nabtalīhi Faja`alnāhu Samī`āan Başīrāan
إِنَّا هَدَيْنَاهُ السَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا 3 
Translation
Indeed We guided him (to) the way whether (he) be grateful and whether (he) be ungrateful
Transliteration
'Innā Hadaynāhu As-Sabīla 'Immā Shākirāan Wa 'Immā Kafūrāan
إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَافِرِينَ سَلَاسِلَ وَأَغْلَالًا وَسَعِيرًا 4 
Translation
Indeed We [We] have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a Blazing Fire
Transliteration
'Innā 'A`tadnā Lilkāfirīna Salāsilāan Wa 'Aghlālāan Wa Sa`īrāan
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِنْ كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًا 5 
Translation
Indeed the righteous will drink from a cup is its mixture (of) Kafur
Transliteration
'Inna Al-'Abrāra Yashrabūna Min Ka'sin Kāna Mizājuhā Kāfūrāan
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا عِبَادُ اللَّهِ يُفَجِّرُونَهَا تَفْجِيرًا 6 
Translation
A spring will drink from it (the) slaves (of) Allah causing it to gush forth abundantly
Transliteration
`Aynāan Yashrabu Bihā `Ibādu Allāhi Yufajjirūnahā Tafjīrāan
يُوفُونَ بِالنَّذْرِ وَيَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا كَانَ شَرُّهُ مُسْتَطِيرًا 7 
Translation
They fulfill the vows and fear a Day (which) is its evil widespread
Transliteration
Yūfūna Bin-Nadhri Wa Yakhāfūna Yawmāan Kāna Sharruhu Mustaţīrāan
وَيُطْعِمُونَ الطَّعَامَ عَلَىٰ حُبِّهِ مِسْكِينًا وَيَتِيمًا وَأَسِيرًا 8 
Translation
And they feed the food in spite of love (for) it (to the) needy and (the) orphan and (the) captive
Transliteration
Wa Yuţ`imūna Aţ-Ţa`āma `Alá Ĥubbihi Miskīnāan Wa Yatīmāan Wa 'Asīrāan
إِنَّمَا نُطْعِمُكُمْ لِوَجْهِ اللَّهِ لَا نُرِيدُ مِنْكُمْ جَزَاءً وَلَا شُكُورًا 9 
Translation
Only we feed you for (the) Countenance (of) Allah Not we desire from you any reward and not thanks
Transliteration
'Innamā Nuţ`imukum Liwajhi Allāhi Lā Nurīdu Minkum Jazā'an Wa Lā Shukūrāan
إِنَّا نَخَافُ مِنْ رَبِّنَا يَوْمًا عَبُوسًا قَمْطَرِيرًا 10 
Translation
Indeed we fear from our Lord a Day - harsh and distressful
Transliteration
'Innā Nakhāfu Min Rabbinā Yawmāan `Abūsāan Qamţarīrāan
فَوَقَاهُمُ اللَّهُ شَرَّ ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَلَقَّاهُمْ نَضْرَةً وَسُرُورًا 11 
Translation
But will protect them Allah (from the) evil (of) that Day and will cause them to meet radiance and happiness
Transliteration
Fawaqāhumu Allāhu Sharra Dhālika Al-Yawmi Wa Laqqāhum Nađratan Wa Surūrāan
وَجَزَاهُمْ بِمَا صَبَرُوا جَنَّةً وَحَرِيرًا 12 
Translation
And will reward them because they were patient (with) a Garden and silk
Transliteration
Wa Jazāhum Bimā Şabarū Jannatan Wa Ĥarīrāan
مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ ۖ لَا يَرَوْنَ فِيهَا شَمْسًا وَلَا زَمْهَرِيرًا 13 
Translation
Reclining therein on couches Not they will see therein any sun and not freezing cold
Transliteration
MMuttaki'īna Fīhā `Alá Al-'Arā'iki Lā Yarawna Fīhā Shamsāan Wa Lā Zamharīrāan
وَدَانِيَةً عَلَيْهِمْ ظِلَالُهَا وَذُلِّلَتْ قُطُوفُهَا تَذْلِيلًا 14 
Translation
And near above them (are) its shades and will hang low its cluster of fruits very low
Transliteration
Wa Dāniyatan `Alayhim Žilāluhā Wa Dhullilat Quţūfuhā Tadhlīlāan
وَيُطَافُ عَلَيْهِمْ بِآنِيَةٍ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَأَكْوَابٍ كَانَتْ قَوَارِيرَا 15 
Translation
And will be circulated among them vessels of silver and cups that are (of) crystal
Transliteration
Wa Yuţāfu `Alayhim Bi'āniyatin Min Fiđđatin Wa 'Akwābin Kānat Qawārīra
قَوَارِيرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ قَدَّرُوهَا تَقْدِيرًا 16 
Translation
Crystal-clear of silver They will determine its measure
Transliteration
Qawārīra Min Fiđđatin Qaddarūhā Taqdīrāan
وَيُسْقَوْنَ فِيهَا كَأْسًا كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا زَنْجَبِيلًا 17 
Translation
And they will be given to drink therein a cup - is its mixture (of) Zanjabil
Transliteration
Wa Yusqawna Fīhā Ka'sāan Kāna Mizājuhā Zanjabīlāan
عَيْنًا فِيهَا تُسَمَّىٰ سَلْسَبِيلًا 18 
Translation
A spring therein named Salsabil
Transliteration
`Aynāan Fīhā Tusammá Salsabīlāan
۞ وَيَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَانٌ مُخَلَّدُونَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَهُمْ حَسِبْتَهُمْ لُؤْلُؤًا مَنْثُورًا 19 
Translation
And will circulate among them young boys made eternal When you see them you would think them (as) pearls scattered
Transliteration
Wa Yaţūfu `Alayhim Wildānun Mukhalladūna 'Idhā Ra'aytahum Ĥasibtahum Lu'ulu'uāan Manthūrāan
وَإِذَا رَأَيْتَ ثَمَّ رَأَيْتَ نَعِيمًا وَمُلْكًا كَبِيرًا 20 
Translation
And when you look then you will see blessings and a kingdom great
Transliteration
Wa 'Idhā Ra'ayta Thamma Ra'ayta Na`īmāan Wa Mulkāan Kabīrāan
عَالِيَهُمْ ثِيَابُ سُنْدُسٍ خُضْرٌ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٌ ۖ وَحُلُّوا أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ وَسَقَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ شَرَابًا طَهُورًا 21 
Translation
Upon them (will be) garments (of) fine silk green and heavy brocade And they will be adorned (with) bracelets of silver and will give them to drink their Lord a drink pure
Transliteration
`Āliyahum Thiyābu Sundusin Khuđrun Wa 'Istabraqun Wa Ĥullū 'Asāwira Min Fiđđatin Wa Saqāhum Rabbuhum Sharābāan Ţahūrāan
إِنَّ هَٰذَا كَانَ لَكُمْ جَزَاءً وَكَانَ سَعْيُكُمْ مَشْكُورًا 22 
Translation
Indeed this is for you a reward and has been your effort appreciated
Transliteration
'Inna Hādhā Kāna Lakum Jazā'an Wa Kāna Sa`yukum Mashkūrāan
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ تَنْزِيلًا 23 
Translation
Indeed We [We] [We] revealed to you the Quran progressively
Transliteration
'Innā Naĥnu Nazzalnā `Alayka Al-Qur'āna Tanzīlāan
فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ وَلَا تُطِعْ مِنْهُمْ آثِمًا أَوْ كَفُورًا 24 
Translation
So be patient for (the) Command (of) your Lord and (do) not obey from them any sinner or disbeliever
Transliteration
Fāşbir Liĥukmi Rabbika Wa Lā Tuţi` Minhum 'Āthimāan 'Aw Kafūrāan
وَاذْكُرِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ بُكْرَةً وَأَصِيلًا 25 
Translation
And remember (the) name (of) your Lord morning and evening
Transliteration
Wa Adhkur Asma Rabbika Bukratan Wa 'Aşīlāan
وَمِنَ اللَّيْلِ فَاسْجُدْ لَهُ وَسَبِّحْهُ لَيْلًا طَوِيلًا 26 
Translation
And of the night prostrate to Him and glorify Him a night long
Transliteration
Wa Mina Al-Layli Fāsjud Lahu Wa Sabbiĥhu Laylāan Ţawīlāan
إِنَّ هَٰؤُلَاءِ يُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَيَذَرُونَ وَرَاءَهُمْ يَوْمًا ثَقِيلًا 27 
Translation
Indeed these love the immediate and leave behind them a Day grave
Transliteration
'Inna Hā'uulā' Yuĥibbūna Al-`Ājilata Wa Yadharūna Warā'ahum Yawmāan Thaqīlāan
نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَاهُمْ وَشَدَدْنَا أَسْرَهُمْ ۖ وَإِذَا شِئْنَا بَدَّلْنَا أَمْثَالَهُمْ تَبْدِيلًا 28 
Translation
We created them and We strengthened their forms and when We will We can change their likeness[es] (with) a change
Transliteration
Naĥnu Khalaqnāhum Wa Shadadnā 'Asrahum Wa 'Idhā Shi'nā Baddalnā 'Amthālahum Tabdīlāan
إِنَّ هَٰذِهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ ۖ فَمَنْ شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ سَبِيلًا 29 
Translation
Indeed this (is) a reminder so whoever wills let him take to his Lord a way
Transliteration
'Inna Hadhihi Tadhkiratun Faman Shā'a Attakhadha 'Ilá Rabbihi Sabīlāan
وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا 30 
Translation
And not you will except that wills Allah Indeed Allah is All-Knower All-Wise
Transliteration
Wa Mā Tashā'ūna 'Illā 'An Yashā'a Allāhu 'Inna Allāha Kāna `Alīmāan Ĥakīmāan
يُدْخِلُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ فِي رَحْمَتِهِ ۚ وَالظَّالِمِينَ أَعَدَّ لَهُمْ عَذَابًا أَلِيمًا 31 
Translation
He admits whom He wills to His mercy but (for) the wrongdoers He has prepared for them a punishment painful
Transliteration
Yudkhilu Man Yashā'u Fī Raĥmatihi Wa Až-Žālimīna 'A`adda Lahum `Adhābāan 'Alīmāan
