Ash-Shams The Sun

﷽
وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا 1 
Translation
By the sun and its brightness
Transliteration
WWa Ash-Shamsi Wa Đuĥāhā
وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا 2 
Translation
And the moon when it follows it
Transliteration
WWa Al-Qamari 'Idhā Talāhā
وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّاهَا 3 
Translation
And the day when it displays it
Transliteration
WWa An-Nahāri 'Idhā Jallāhā
وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا 4 
Translation
And the night when it covers it
Transliteration
WWa Al-Layli 'Idhā Yaghshāhā
وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا 5 
Translation
And the heaven and He Who constructed it
Transliteration
WWa As-Samā'i Wa Mā Banāhā
وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا 6 
Translation
And the earth and He Who spread it
Transliteration
WWa Al-'Arđi Wa Mā Ţaĥāhā
وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا 7 
Translation
And (the) soul and He Who proportioned it
Transliteration
Wa Nafsin Wa Mā Sawwāhā
فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا 8 
Translation
And He inspired it (to understand) what is wrong for it and what is right for it
Transliteration
Fa'alhamahā Fujūrahā Wa Taqwāhā
قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا 9 
Translation
Indeed he succeeds who purifies it
Transliteration
QQad 'Aflaĥa Man Zakkāhā
وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا 10 
Translation
And indeed he fails who corrupts it
Transliteration
Wa Qad Khāba Man Dassāhā
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا 11 
Translation
Denied Thamud by their transgression
Transliteration
Kadhdhabat Thamūdu Biţaghwāhā
إِذِ انْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا 12 
Translation
When (was) sent forth (the) most wicked of them
Transliteration
'Idhi Anba`atha 'Ashqāhā
فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا 13 
Translation
But said to them (the) Messenger (of) Allah (It is the) she-camel (of) Allah and her drink
Transliteration
FFaqāla Lahum Rasūlu Allāhi Nāqata Allāhi Wa Suqyāhā
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا 14 
Translation
But they denied him and they hamstrung her So destroyed them their Lord for their sin and leveled them
Transliteration
Fakadhdhabūhu Fa`aqarūhā Fadamdama `Alayhim Rabbuhum Bidhanbihim Fasawwāhā
وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا 15 
Translation
And not He fears its consequences

Wa Lā Yakhāfu `Uqbāhā
